#5. Atomos Space: $16.2 million, January 6
Atomos Space is an aerospace company that develops space transport vehicles with towing and docking capabilities. In January, the Denver-based company secured $16.2 million in a Series A round co-led by Cantos Ventures and the Yamauchi No. 10 Family Office. With the funding, Atomos will showcase its latest tech and double its headcount.
#4. Meati Foods: $22 million, January 26
Meati Foods raised $22 million in an addendum to its $150 million Series C round announced back in July. Meati makes alternative meat products like chicken cutlets using mycelium. The company used funds from the initial raise to open a new manufacturing facility. With the additional $22 million, Meati will optimize the facility to produce over 45 million pounds of product, according to TechCrunch.
#3. Strata Identity: $26 million, January 25
In late January, Strata Identity closed a $26 million Series B round led by Telstra Ventures. Strata Identity develops cloud-based identity solutions for companies to access cloud services, tools and subscriptions. According to the company, its new funds will go toward expanding its sales, marking and go-to-market to teams.
#2. Scythe Robotics: $42 million, January 24
Robotics company Scythe Robotics develops autonomous lawnmowers with similar tech to self-driving vehicles. Last month the Longmont-based company raised $42 million in a Series B round led by Energy Impact Partners. With the capital, Scythe plans to hire new talent. The company currently lists a handful of open positions on Built In.
#1. Outrider: $73 million, January 19
Outrider topped the Colorado funding charts in January by raising a $73 million Series C round. Founded in 2017, Outrider develops autonomous trucks and equipment for shipping yards. The company will recruit new engineering, robotics, safety, deep learning and machine learning talent with its fresh funds. It currently has several open roles listed on Built In.
