Colorado’s weather ebbs and flows as does local tech news and funding rounds. Last week a notable tech entrepreneur and restaurant owner made his new tech software available to local eateries and a Netherlands-based aerospace company announced plans to relocate to Denver. RezDox was featured in the Built In Future 5 series. The Lone Tree-based startup helps homeowners track their home maintenance and renovations. Husband and wife duo Damian and Trachelle Spencer launched RezDox in 2012 and aim to offer more transparency to buyers and sellers about a home’s state of repair and value. RezDox is also working to launch a Home Condition Score to measure a home’s overall state of repair. [Built In Colorado]

Danny Newman began offering Switchboard to local restaurants. The tech entrepreneur and My Brother’s Bar owner launched Switchboard, which aims to simplify online ordering and reservations for restaurants, last year for his Denver eatery. When customers call a local restaurant that uses Switchboard, they receive a text message with information about joining the waitlist, making a reservation or placing an online order. Callers also hear an automated voice that addresses questions like wait times or the restaurant’s operating hours. [The Denver Post]

Karman+ announced plans to relocated its HQ to Denver. Karman+ works to allow the mining of near-earth asteroids for sustainable and carbon neutral minerals. The Netherlands-based aerospace company anticipates employees will move to the Mile High City this year. Karman+ said it selected Colorado due to the state’s spirit of adventure, support for space exploration and talent pool. The company plans to bring 150 jobs to the state and is actively hiring for a lead systems engineer. [Colorado OEDIT]

These five Colorado tech companies raised the most venture capital in NovemberThe five largest tech funding rounds in Colorado last month totaled $486 million, including a round raised by healthtech company DispatchHealth. Other companies raising funds last month included ColdQuanta, AMP Robotics, Biofire and Nymbl Science. [Built In Colorado]

Solid Power’s CEO retired. Doug Campbell, the founding CEO of Solid Power, retired from the Louisville-based company and its board of directors last week. The company, which develops solid-state battery cells, named Dave Jansen as its interim CEO while a permanent replacement search takes place. Jansen previously served as Solid Power’s president since 2017. [Denver Business Journal]
