These 4 Colorado Tech Companies Raised New Funds in May

These four Colorado startups raised a total of $11.5 million in new funding this past month. EdgeMicro led the way with its $5 million round. Read on below for the details on all of the latest Colorado funding rounds.

 

#3. $500,000, May 13

SmileSnap offers virtual consultation and communication software to dentists and orthodontists. With the funds, it plans to make new hires to support its growth. Greg Pellegrom started the company in 2018.

 

#2 (Tied). $3 million, May 28

The kombucha company offers 100 percent recyclable cans. KarpReilly led this second and final part of the company’s Series A round, which brought the total to $7 million. Its next goal is to expand its retail presence with these funds.

 

#2 (Tied). $3 million, May 22

The startup helps people improve their credit score. Vestigo Ventures led the seed funding round. With the money, it plans to partner with more banks and scale its operations.

 

#1. $5 million, May 12

The  No. 1 spot this month went to EdgeMicro, which creates mini data servers to strengthen cloud access in underserved areas. DH Capital led the investment. The new funds will allow it to build more of these small data centers.
