Automox raises $9.3M Series A to help businesses go beyond cyber threat detection

Just eight months after raising a $2 million seed round, Boulder-based Automox is at it again — this time closing $9.3 million in Series A funding. The new funding will help Automox both meet the increasing demand for its product and further drive that demand. To support its growth, the company plans to bring on 20 to 25 new employees over the next year, with a focus on engineering, sales and marketing. The round was led by TechOperators with participation from CRV, BlueNote Ventures and Tom Noonan, as well as previous investors. Noonan, an industry veteran with decades of cybersecurity experience, will join Automox’s board of directors. [Read more.]

Granicus acquires record management firm SouthTech Systems

Government cloud computing provider Granicus announced the acquisition of Orange County-based record management firm SouthTech Systems. The acquisition will further expand Granicus’s portfolio of government-specific cloud solutions, particularly when it comes to the management, digitization and automation of records such as birth and death records, campaign ethics filings, agendas and more. “SouthTech Systems was founded to make a difference in the day-to-day technical hurdles that government leaders face,” said Grant Gyulnazaryan, SouthTechs co-founder. “Joining Granicus means that our customers will benefit from a robust infrastructure, unmatched security, and added R&D investment and scale — all while maintaining the world-class support our customers have enjoyed.” [Read more.]

AdSwerve expands leadership team, adding 2 new VPs

Denver-based AdSwerve added two key executives to its senior leadership team this week. Kristina Yarrington joined AdSwerve as its new vice president of marketing, and JB Sugar came on as the company’s new vice president of sales. Both leaders bring years of valuable experience in their professions and will help guide the company’s go-to-market strategy as it moves through a new phase of growth following the acquisition of Analytics Pros in August. Lovell Minnick Partners buys out majority share in SRS Acquiom

Tech-enabled M&A solutions provider SRS Acquiom received a majority investment from private equity firm Lovell Minnick Partners on Tuesday. SRS Acquiom’s Denver headquarters will continue to be led by its current management team and its employees will retain their significant investments in the company. With its focus on financial and related business services companies, LMP will help support SRS Acquiom as it builds out new products and features for its platform and looks to acquire new companies whose products and services complement their own.
