Creating a perks package that attracts — and retains — top talent has become something of a competition among Colorado tech companies. As a result, companies have started offering some pretty unique perks in an effort to stand out.

We asked three Colorado tech companies to talk about the perks they’re most proud of and why they’re so important to their teams.

BombBomb unique company perks Colorado

BombBomb uses the power of video to help businesses build deeper, more personal relationships with their customers via email, text and social media. The company has taken a creative approach to professional communication, and it extends that same creative freedom to its employees. Content marketing manager Alli Menor shared one of many perks BombBomb employees enjoy.

Great projects are completed when individuals are given total creative freedom.”

What's a really unique perk your company offers to employees?

Here at BombBomb, we have a really exciting event that we call Hack Week. This is a chance for our developers to be creative and work on whatever project they’d like to see in the future for BombBomb. Some of our best features have come out of Hack Week, and it’s a great community-building event that inspires the whole team.

Why do you offer it?

Great projects are completed when individuals are given total creative freedom. The freedom of this week is also time for our developers to get a break from their usual projects and team-build at the same time.

What are some of the ways your employees take advantage of this perk?

For our developers, this is a week where mistakes are OK. Because of this, the development team attempts to tackle some pretty big projects they might normally avoid. They also learn new skills in the process.
