THE ROLE
We are searching for a YouTube Editor operating at the highest caliber: someone who blends inventive thinking with precise execution, understands what drives culture forward, and knows how to shape footage into content that wins in today’s algorithm and tomorrow’s attention economy. This role demands elite editorial instincts, exceptional storytelling craft, and a deep command of what performs on YouTube right now. You will transform raw material into standout videos, elevate narratives through pacing and structure, and deliver edits that cut through in a landscape where only the most exceptional work rises.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own end-to-end post-production for high-performing YouTube content, from ingest and assembly through final delivery
- Shape compelling narratives through pacing, structure, music, graphics, and sound design to maximize retention and watch time
- Collaborate with producers, creators, and stakeholders to refine concepts and translate creative vision into finished edits
- Execute precise, efficient workflows across multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
- Apply platform-specific editing strategies, trends, and formats optimized for YouTube performance
- Incorporate analytics and performance insights to inform editorial decisions and improve future content
- Maintain uncompromising quality standards aligned with the channel’s creative vision and brand
QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience editing top-tier YouTube programming or digital content that resonates in today’s culture
- Exceptional storytelling instincts paired with a strong storytelling sensibility
- Deep fluency in YouTube formats, trends, performance drivers, and audience behavior
- Advanced proficiency in professional editing tools and post-production workflows
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with creative teams
- A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with the ability to execute at a high level under tight timelines
