About the role and about You:
Zwift is looking for a Workout Content Manager to join our Content team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Zwift’s workout library that drives engagement, performance, and fun across a global community of Zwifters.
You’ll manage the day-to-day creation and refinement of workouts and training plans, ensuring they are grounded in sound training principles and meet Zwift’s high standards for experience and accuracy. You’ll also contribute to broader strategic initiatives supporting personalization, AI/LLM systems, and seasonal campaigns while working cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and our coach community.
We’re looking for someone who can operate independently, execute with precision, and has a deep understanding of structured training. You don’t need to be a coach, but fluency in endurance training concepts and athlete performance data is highly encouraged.
What you’ll do:
- Own the strategy and execution of structured workout content across Zwift, ensuring it reflects strong training principles and aligns with product and content priorities
- Design and build new workouts and training plans while independently maintaining and evolving existing .zwo libraries
- Conduct regular content audits to ensure clarity, training logic, discoverability and quality across the workout experience
- Partner crossfunctionally with Product, Engineering and Marketing to ensure structured content supports feature launches, campaigns and emerging recommendation systems
- Contribute to long-term planning around how workouts support personalization, AI/LLM-powered systems, and seasonal programming
- Track and report on workout performance, proactively identifying optimization opportunities and presenting findings to stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- Experience designing and managing a structured workouts library, preferably using .zwo, XML, or similar formats
- Strong knowledge of endurance training principles, including FTP, power zones, and recovery-based training
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality content independently, with minimal oversight
- Familiarity with performance data tools and ability to translate metrics into purposeful training design
- Clear and confident communicator who can collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Highly detail-oriented with a mindset for QA, content accuracy, and optimization
Bonus points:
- Certification or experience as a coach (e.g., USA Cycling, British Cycling, TrainingPeaks Level 1+)
- Experience working with Git or CMS tools and comfort navigating structured data formats (XML, JSON, etc.)
- Understanding of personalization and recommendation engines, especially for fitness products
- Experience managing contractors or content creators
