The Workday Reporting Lead owns how the institution sees itself through data. This role focuses on delivering accurate, trusted, and secure reporting that supports campus leadership, compliance, and day-to-day operations.
Higher Ed reporting isn’t generic. It’s nuanced, deadline-driven, and mission-critical. You’ll be the expert guiding it all.
LocationRemote with 10% travel to Tuscaloosa, AL, United States
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the reporting strategy for Workday implementations or enhancements
Design and deliver Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Dashboard reports
Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, and Institutional Research teams
Ensure reporting aligns with Higher Ed governance and data standards
Implement row-level security and role-based access controls
Support regulatory, accreditation, and executive reporting needs
Manage report testing, validation, and user training
5+ years of Workday reporting experience
Higher Education experience required
Strong hands-on expertise with calculated fields and report optimization
Experience working with institutional data governance models
Ability to translate business questions into meaningful reports
Experience with Prism Analytics
Workday Reporting certification
Familiarity with IPEDS, FERPA, and public-sector reporting requirements
