Workday Integration Developer
Term-Limited Role | Through December 2027 (Extension Possible)
Position Summary
The Workday Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between Workday and internal/external enterprise systems. This role requires deep technical expertise in Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Orchestrate, and Workday Web Services, as well as experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
The ideal candidate excels in technical development, cross-functional collaboration, integration architecture, and troubleshooting complex data flows across HR, Finance, and enterprise ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide technical leadership to a team of Workday integration developers.
- Coordinate work across developers, functional teams, business analysts, and project managers.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead and facilitate design, review, and working sessions with developers and cross-functional teams.
Integration Design & Development
- Design, build, test, and deploy integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Orchestrate, and Workday Web Services.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Workday and various enterprise systems, ensuring accurate and secure data exchange.
- Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure long-term system reliability.
- Ensure all integrations meet security, privacy, and data governance standards.
Documentation & Quality Assurance
- Produce detailed design documentation, technical specifications, mapping documents, and test plans.
- Participate in Workday release management, regression testing, and impact assessments.
- Mentor junior developers on Workday integration best practices.
Project & Delivery Management
- Follow established project methodology and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers to establish scope, timelines, priorities, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with project stakeholders and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years developing and maintaining integrations for enterprise-level applications.
- 3+ years of hands-on Workday integration development experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with Oracle EBS (data structures, APIs, interfaces).
- Proficiency with:
- Workday Studio
- EIB
- Core Connectors
- Orchestrate
- SOAP/REST Web Services
- XML/XSLT
- Understanding of Workday security and business process frameworks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Integration or Workday Studio certification.
- Workday Orchestrate certification.
- Experience with middleware or ETL platforms (e.g., Informatica).
- Familiarity with HR, Payroll, and Finance data structures.
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
