Care.com is seeking a Financial System Architect, Workday to further transform our Workday ecosystem into best-in-class. This person will possess a broad understanding of cross functional touchpoints and their impacts within the Workday system to effectively develop and deliver solutions to complex problems/projects across multiple modules.  They will guarantee timely releases of deliverables, including but not limited to administration, integrations, feature enhancements, reports, dashboards, and security with the Care.com infrastructure and third-party vendors. 

Specific Duties/Responsibilities 

This role is focused on post-production support (AMS), system optimization, and continuous improvement of Workday Financials and Adaptive Insights. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday Financials, Adaptive Insights, and related integrations, ensuring smooth operation, timely enhancements, and strategic system improvements.

This position requires a strong technical and functional understanding of Workday Financials, Adaptive Insights, and their integrations with other financial platforms. The individual will work across departments to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, manage integrations, and optimize financial planning, reporting, and compliance processes.

  • Maintain and improve Workday integrations and security models across a full Workday platform.  
  • Hands on system configuration and administration including functional area updates, business process/workflow setup and modification, security, etc. as determined by business requirements.  
  • Develops, reviews and updates configuration documentation for change management requests and new implementations.
  • Supports business by shaping customer requirements, analyzing alternatives, providing recommendations, and developing appropriate technical and business solutions for implementation.
  • Conducts analysis of alternatives on a variety of options to determine the best solutions to support overall business goals and objectives.
  • Troubleshoots issues including but not limited to integrations, reporting, incorrect data or actions
  • Research current and emerging workday technology and process methodologies to propose changes were needed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment that requires tasks to be completed quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change 

Skills/Experience Requirements 

  • 5+ years of experience in Workday Financials and Adaptive Insights, with a focus on AMS/post-production support.
  • Strong technical and functional expertise in Workday Financial Management (Ledger, Revenue, Banking, Projects, Expenses, Security, Business Processes, Reporting, OfficeConnect) and Adaptive Insights (model management, administration, reporting, OfficeConnect).
  • Experience with Workday integrations (EIB, RaaS, Studio, API)
  • Knowledge of SOX, SOC2, and financial compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data, integration, and configuration issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across business and technical teams.
  • Workday Certifications (Financials, Adaptive Insights) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

Salary Range:  $130,000 to $150,000.

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
