Job Description Summary

‎ 

The Workday Configuration Lead is responsible for leading the configuration, optimization, and support of Workday Recruiting, Onboarding, and Talent Management solutions. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for talent-related Workday functionality and partners closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and business leaders to deliver scalable solutions that enhance the employee lifecycle experience.
The ideal candidate possesses deep Workday configuration expertise, strong project leadership skills, and a passion for driving process improvements through technology. This position will lead system enhancements, support strategic HR initiatives, and ensure Workday capabilities align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Configuration Leadership

  • Lead the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of Workday Recruiting, Onboarding, and Talent Management modules.
  • Configure and maintain business processes, condition rules, notifications, questionnaires, security roles, and related system functionality.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions that align with HR and organizational strategies.
  • Establish configuration standards, documentation practices, and governance procedures.

Recruiting

  • Manage and optimize Workday Recruiting processes from candidate application through hire.
  • Configure recruiting workflows, candidate stages, interview processes, offer generation, and communication templates.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to improve recruiter efficiency, hiring manager experience, and candidate engagement.
  • Support recruiting compliance and reporting requirements.

Onboarding

  • Lead configuration and enhancement of Workday Onboarding processes and employee transition activities.
  • Configure onboarding journeys, task assignments, document acknowledgments, and new-hire workflows.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations to streamline onboarding experiences and improve employee readiness.

Talent Management

  • Support and enhance Workday Talent Management functionality, including:
    • Performance Management
    • Goal Management
    • Career Development
    • Talent Reviews
    • Succession Planning
    • Talent Pools
  • Partner with HR leaders to support talent strategies and workforce planning initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Provide talent acquisition and talent management metrics to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across talent-related processes and reporting.

Release Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate Workday biannual releases and identify opportunities to leverage new functionality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, simplification, and user experience.
  • Maintain awareness of Workday best practices and emerging capabilities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary liaison between HR stakeholders and technology teams for talent-related Workday initiatives.
  • Lead requirements gathering, solution design sessions, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to HRIS analysts and other team members.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Workday configuration experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Workday Recruiting, Onboarding, and Talent Management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
    • Workday Business Processes
    • Security Configuration
    • Condition Rules
    • Calculated Fields
    • Custom Reports and Dashboards
  • Experience leading Workday enhancements, implementations, or optimization projects.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Pro Certification(s) in Recruiting, Talent & Performance, HCM, or related modules.
  • Experience supporting large-scale or global Workday environments.
  • Knowledge of Workday integrations and data management tools.
  • Experience with Workday Journeys.
  • Experience working in Agile or product-based delivery models.

Compensation Range:

$113,346.00

to

$178,968.00

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
