* The Website Lead, SEO, AEO & GEO is responsible for driving CDW's visibility in emerging search environments powered by AI and conversational interfaces. This role blends deep technical SEO expertise with strategic foresight to optimize content for answer engines and generative search platforms. By collaborating across marketing, content, and development teams, the Senior Lead ensures that CDW's digital experiences are structured, discoverable, and aligned with evolving user behaviors. This position is critical in shaping the future of organic discoverability and positioning CDW at the forefront of AI-driven search.
* What you will do
* Lead the development and execution of advanced SEO strategies focused on optimizing for answer engines (AEO) and generative search experiences (GEO), including Google's AI Overview and other emerging platforms.
* Build and refine structured content experiences that align with user intent and are designed to surface in featured snippets, AI-generated summaries, and conversational search results.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams- including Content Strategy, Editorial, UX, Performance Marketing, and Development- to ensure digital content is optimized for both traditional and generative search engines.
* Develop and implement schema markup, structured data, and entity-based optimization to improve visibility in AI-powered search interfaces.
* Identify gaps in content coverage and user journeys that hinder visibility in answer engines, and lead initiatives to create high-value, intent-driven content experiences.
* Monitor performance across AEO and GEO channels using advanced analytics tools and translate insights into actionable recommendations for content and technical teams.
* Educate internal stakeholders on evolving search behaviors and the impact of generative AI on discoverability, helping teams adapt strategies accordingly.
* Stay ahead of search engine innovations, including SGE (Search Generative Experience), voice search, and multimodal AI, to ensure CDW's web properties remain competitive and discoverable.
* What we expect of you
* Bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience in SEO, digital content strategy, or web optimization, with a strong focus on emerging search technologies OR
* 8+ years of experience in SEO, digital content strategy, or web optimization, with a strong focus on emerging search technologies
* Proven expertise in Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), including featured snippets, structured data, and entity-based search strategies.
* Experience developing strategies for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), including optimization for AI Overviews, conversational search, and voice interfaces.
* Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and the evolving role of AI in search.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex SEO concepts into actionable business strategies.
* Experience collaborating with content creators, developers, and analytics teams to implement and measure SEO initiatives.
* Familiarity with accessibility standards, Core Web Vitals, and UX principles that impact search visibility.
