The Role:
PopSockets is seeking a visionary and execution-focused Vice President of Technology Solutions to lead our global technology strategy and execution. They will drive critical initiatives which include ERP modernization, 3PL and fulfillment transitions, omnichannel integrations, and enterprise wide platform migrations. This leader will combine strong enterprise systems experience with a builder mindset to guide PopSockets through its next phase of scalable growth.
Responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Oversee the architecture, design, and evolution of the company’s global tech stack—prioritizing cost-effectiveness, security, resilience, agility, and interoperability.
- Own end to end delivery of ERP and OMS integrations with a focus on fulfillment, finance, product, and eComm alignment.
- Lead global 3PL system implementation, including custom OMS and Printing logic in relation to API architecture for channel enablement (Amazon, Walmart, DTC) Partner with Ops, eComm, and Product to design scalable logic for customization of our product portfolio.
- Strategic Execution and Change Leadership
- Translate business objectives into technology strategy by balancing short term execution (3PL migrations) with long term platform simplification (ERP and middleware migrations).
- Stabilize tech and ops execution post major transitions to build a clear decision framework for emerging needs of the business (dropship, international fulfillment, product printing)
- Guide transition from externally reliant development model to a globally structured, internal first team.
- Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead, build, and manage the global Technology Solutions department, ensuring the team is high-performing, collaborative, and aligned with company goals.
- Manage a globally distributed tech org (US, India, China) with a focus on structure, mentorship, and accountability.
- Recruit and delegate effectively across Individual Contributors and Tech Teams.
- Lead vendor strategy to renegotiate contracts to reduce unnecessary tools, and align 3rd party devs with internal code release schedules.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Regularly engage with the CEO and executive team on systems decisions impacting growth, cost, and customer experience (internal and external). Be a core bridge, not just a service function.
- Evaluate solutions across strategic, technical, and financial dimensions, balancing innovation with pragmatism.
- Chair a cross-functional technology steering committee to ensure alignment on priorities, sequencing, and resourcing.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to define and prioritize an AI strategy for data unlocks. Work with the broader org in adoption of AI based tools for operational efficiency, automation, and usage.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in enterprise systems leadership, including ERP, WMS, EDI, light manufacturing, and platform manufacturing.
- Hands on experience with global 3PL transition and supporting omnichannel fulfillment
- History of building and scaling teams globally (with a focus on India and APAC desirable)
- Excels at simplifying tech stacks, negotiating tradeoffs, and aligning technology architecture to business outcomes.
- Collaborative and low ego leader that is comfortable with ambiguity, change, and cross cultural management
- Strong communicator up and down the organization capable of aligning diverse stakeholders around shared priorities.
- Background in mid sized growth companies preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
