Our mission is to accelerate the exploration of Earth’s final frontier—the ocean—by pioneering autonomous technologies and unlocking transparent, actionable intelligence.
We believe that understanding the ocean is essential to thriving on this planet and beyond. The ocean is not just a vast body of water—it is the foundation of our climate, our resources, our communications, and our energy. As critical infrastructure increasingly moves beneath the waves, our ability to explore, map, and safeguard the ocean’s bedrock becomes vital.
We’re not just connecting the world by sea—we’re revealing the deep, unseen structure that connects all life. To secure our future, we must first understand the ground beneath us, the foundation of our civilization.
The RoleWe’re looking for a strategic and hands-on VP of Sales to lead our go-to-market efforts, close high-value commercial and government contracts, and build a world-class sales organization. You’ll own the full sales cycle — from strategy to execution — and play a key role in shaping Bedrock’s revenue engine as we scale. Your impact will be measured by revenue growth, contract wins, strategic partnerships, and the successful launch of scalable go-to-market systems.
What You'll DoOwn and execute Bedrock’s sales strategy
Identify, qualify, and close multi-million-dollar contracts with enterprise buyers, often involving technical evaluation teams, regulatory bodies, and C-suite decision-makers
Build, lead, and mentor a small but high-performing sales team
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders — from procurement officers to CTOs and GMs
Drive pipeline generation, forecast accuracy, and CRM discipline
Collaborate cross-functionally with BD, operations, marketing, and leadership to align sales with company priorities
Represent Bedrock at industry events, demos, and strategic meetings
Experience & Expertise
Deep experience selling ocean survey services or related subsea data offerings
Proven success in complex enterprise sales with long cycles and multiple stakeholders
Experience selling seabed data products or geospatial intelligence solutions
Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale early sales teams in high-growth environments
Background in technical sales within robotics, autonomy, or deep tech industries
Familiarity with buyers in offshore energy, maritime infrastructure, or environmental data markets
Strong understanding of public and private procurement processes (e.g., RFPs, contracting)
Experience structuring complex sales models, including firm-fixed pricing, subscriptions, or data licensing
Excellent communicator and relationship builder at both executive and field levels
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in an early-stage environment
Experience with offshore wind, subsea infrastructure, or marine technology markets is a strong plus
International experience (preferably inclusive of Western Europe)
Familiarity with government sales or dual-use markets is helpful but not required
U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident preferred due to potential defense-related engagements
We are seeking mission oriented, purpose driven teammates who are willing to push boundaries to learn and execute when things seem impossible. The ocean is the ultimate level playing field, anyone can go, but not many can build successful systems that can survive and thrive in earth’s last frontier. We get to illuminate the darkness, explore the unknown, and be first to see what we can discover. We can see everything on earth, except in the depths of the sea.
