The Position
We are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Sales or National Sales Executive Director to lead our commercial breast oncology organization while also shaping the future of diagnostic medicine. The successful candidate will be an analytical, inspiring and data-driven leader who exceeds sales goals by developing and executing clear sales strategies. The primary goal of this role is to successfully launch and establish the Prosigna Breast Cancer Assay as a first-in-class Laboratory Developed Test in the United States. The Prosigna Breast Cancer Assay is a prognostic test that helps inform treatment decisions for patients with early-stage breast cancer.
- Leading, building and developing the sales organization: This includes recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring a team of sales professionals and account executives.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Developing and implementing comprehensive business plans and sales strategies to drive adoption of the Prosigna Breast Cancer Assay (LDT) and achieve revenue/growth targets. Coordinate with MSL and Marketing teams to develop HCP education and marketing tools, assets.
- Relationship Management: Developing, building and maintaining strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), large accounts and other stakeholders to gain insights and influence sales direction
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering across the organization with marketing, medical affairs, managed care, customer service, billing to bring our physicians the best possible product and customer experience
- Performance Management: Monitoring sales performance, providing coaching and feedback to sales professionals to achieve business objectives, reporting results and plans to company leadership
- Compliance and Quality: Ensuring the sales team is compliant with all Veracyte policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Successful candidates will have experience in launching diagnostic tests, developing sales strategy, coaching sales leaders, performance management, evaluating sales metrics, channel development, and strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Success in this role demands a deep understanding of the breast oncology space, strong clinical acumen, and the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems while fostering trusted, value-driven relationships with physicians.
- You must have extensive experience in recruiting and hiring top talent.
- You have at least 15 years of related experience in a fast paced, results-oriented, rapidly growing company in diagnostics, life sciences, or medical technology.
- In addition, you have at least 10-years of previous sales leadership experience in healthcare; preferably diagnostics or medical devices.
- The ability to travel up to 50% is required.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
