The Opportunity
The VP, Risk Engagement will lead the operation and strategic direction of the Risk Engagement, fraud service consulting department and Quality Assurance teams for the Risk Solutions division. This role is an external/market-facing resource representing risk management for risk consulting, new sales, and client renewals and will advocate and drive Fraud Service offerings working closely with Product Management in developing improvements and new solutions for the marketplace. Including operationalizing new products within Risk Solutions. This role will work with Marketing and other areas to ensure fraud industry engagement is consolidated, consistent and aligns with Risk Solutions strategy and direction. The VP, Risk Engagement will be responsible for handling P&L Financial Plan for Enhanced Risk Mitigation Services. Responsible for communicating with Senior Management regarding issues, performance, financial impacts, and service level performance to understand the impact while ensuring quality service and best possible outcomes and relationships with member-owners while understanding the full impact.
Day in the Life
Develop, evolve, and ensure strategic objectives of the Risk Engagement.
Partner with key organizational team members and departments to understand their key business and marketing challenges, assess and prioritize opportunities, and work efforts and business impact.
Provide department insights, training, and client support to our relationship and sales teams.
Lead, manage and build upon enhanced services and clients in the enhanced services tier. Escalation points and presence on client calls/on-site visits.
Create vision and strategic/tactical roadmap for continued growth and development within Enhanced and Engagement.
Lead Enterprise and Risk Solution-related projects and represent Risk Solutions within enterprise projects.
Lead and support pursuit of new markets, business opportunities, and relationships, including but not limited to, potential new clients, products, technical advances and lines of business.
Work directly with key leaders (internal and external) in developing client experiences that align with industry fraud trends and with needed financial institution support.
Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Network with external and internal collaborators to deliver on the strategic vision between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organization.
Partner with key organizational collaborators and departments to understand their key business and marketing challenges, assess and prioritize opportunities, work efforts and business impact.
Establish and lead all aspects of department goals and budgets, with full accountability for variance measurements and execution on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Direct and counsel to Product Team, Enterprise Risk, and Information Technology regarding additional fraud and reporting opportunities.
Develop, Implement and Lead quality assurance programs for operational teams.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’sDegreeinBusinessAdministrationorrelatedfieldorequivalentcombinationofeducationand experience required.
Ten (10) years within the financial service industry required.
Eight (8) years professional experience in Corporate/Professional risk management and/or fraud required.
Experience with data analytical tools required.
Five (5) years management experience required.
Five (5) years of presentation, engagement, interaction experience including both front line client and executive level engagement preferred.
Project management and consulting experience preferred.
CFE Certification preferred.
