Role Summary

Emodo is building a scaled, global publisher network, and this role owns that trajectory. As Global VP of Publisher Development, you will set the strategy, build the team, and personally drive the highest-value partnerships that expand Emodo's SSP footprint across web, app, and CTV at scale. You will sit on the senior leadership team, report directly to the President, and carry accountability for supply-side revenue and partnership quality across all markets. This is an ownership role, not a management layer

The Impact You'll Have

Emodo's supply quality and publisher mix determine the value of every impression that runs through the platform. The partnerships you build and the enterprise deals you close define what advertisers can access, how campaigns perform, and how quickly the business scales toward profitability. You will not be inheriting a mature book of business -- you will be defining what a mature book of business looks like for Emodo.

You will build and lead a global publisher development function from the ground up: hiring the team, establishing the coverage model, and setting the standards for how Emodo engages publishers at every tier. At the same time, you will remain personally active on the most strategic relationships -- premium CTV networks, scaled app portfolios, and marquee web publishers -- because at this stage, your direct credibility in the room matters.

You will also shape the company. Product, engineering, and leadership need an executive who can translate supply-side market dynamics into investment decisions and roadmap priorities. Your perspective will directly influence how Emodo allocates resources and what it builds next.

What You'll Do

Global Supply Strategy and Team Leadership

  • Define and execute Emodo's global publisher development strategy across web, app, and CTV
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing publisher development team across regions
  • Set coverage models, quota frameworks, and performance standards for the function
  • Represent publisher development at the executive level, including board-facing reporting on supply growth

Enterprise Partnership Development

  • Personally lead pursuit and closure of strategic publisher relationships at the enterprise tier
  • Build C-level and VP-level relationships at premium publishers, networks, and aggregators
  • Negotiate complex, multi-market agreements including rates, payment terms, and platform integration requirements
  • Drive contract execution from term sheet through legal sign-off with speed and precision

Integration and Revenue Activation

  • Partner with Publisher Operations to design onboarding processes that compress time-to-revenue for new partners
  • Hold accountability for publisher revenue contribution, not just signed agreements
  • Serve as senior escalation point for business-critical issues across the publisher portfolio

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work directly with Product and Engineering to translate supply-side market needs into platform priorities
  • Collaborate with the Demand and Ad Operations teams to align supply quality with advertiser outcomes
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategy, pricing, and packaging decisions as a member of the senior leadership team

Market Intelligence and Competitive Positioning

  • Track and synthesize supply-side trends, competitive dynamics, and publisher market shifts
  • Bring structured intelligence into executive and board-level conversations with actionable implications
  • Represent Emodo at industry events, publisher summits, and trade conferences

What you'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • 10+ years in ad tech, programmatic advertising, or digital media, with at least 5 years in senior supply-side roles
  • Demonstrated success building and leading publisher development or supply partnerships teams, including hiring and performance management
  • Track record of closing and scaling enterprise-level publisher relationships across multiple formats and markets
  • Deep expertise in the programmatic ecosystem: SSPs, DSPs, exchanges, auction mechanics, header bidding, RTB, and OpenRTB integrations
  • Experience negotiating complex, multi-party agreements and driving legal execution at pace
  • Executive presence and the ability to build trust with C-suite counterparts at publisher organizations
  • Strong analytical fluency -- you can read performance data, identify supply gaps, and translate findings into strategy
  • History of effective cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and demand-side teams
Future-Ready Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Familiarity with identity-loss mitigation strategies: UID2, ID5, clean room integrations, and contextual targeting at scale
  • Experience with CTV-specific monetization models including AVOD, FAST, programmatic guaranteed, and OTT direct deals
  • Exposure to global supply markets outside North America, particularly EMEA or APAC
  • Working knowledge of AI-driven yield optimization in programmatic supply chains
  • Experience operating within a platform business during a period of rapid product and commercial scaling
