We are looking for a results-driven Vice President, Media to lead the strategy, execution, and performance of integrated media initiatives that support our university partners’ enrollment objectives. This role combines internal team leadership with external agency oversight and spans digital and traditional media channels. The VP, Media will be responsible for driving high-quality lead generation, optimizing media investments, and delivering full-funnel strategies grounded in data and market insights.
This is a senior leadership role for a marketing expert who thrives at the intersection of strategy, analytics, team leadership, and cross-channel execution.
As our Vice President, Media, you will be responsible for:
Lead the development of full-funnel media strategies designed to acquire qualified leads and drive enrollment across university partner programs
Own the vision and evolution of media planning, buying, and performance across digital and traditional channels
Manage, coach, and grow a multidisciplinary team of paid and organic media specialists.
Serve as the organization’s senior authority on media strategy, lead generation, and performance marketing best practices
Foster a high-performance team culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of campaigns across paid search, paid social, programmatic, affiliate, search and ai engine optimization (SEO/AEO), and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
Lead management of an internal team and external media agencies responsible for primary media buying across Google, display, Meta and LinkedIn.
Expand and optimize media mix across additional existing and traditional channels including but not limited to CTV, out of home and radio.
Guide audience strategy, budget allocation, bid strategy, and creative testing in collaboration with internal and external partners
Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and channels to improve performance and scalability
Own and drive performance against key KPIs including conversion rate, cost per prospect, cost per application, and cost per acquisition
Analyze campaign and channel performance to generate actionable insights and continuous optimization strategies
Lead regular performance reviews with internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders
Serve as a senior marketing advisor in client engagements, presenting media strategies, performance insights, and optimization plans
Support new client onboarding, strategic planning, forecasting, and channel mix development
Contribute to business development efforts including proposals, media strategy presentations, and partnership growth
Ensure effective management of media budgets and investments to maximize return and efficiency
Monitor financial performance related to media programs, including forecasting and budget pacing
Partner with finance and operations to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and vendor management
Drive operational excellence across internal teams and external partners

You have:
12+ years of experience in media, digital marketing, or demand generation, with significant leadership experience overseeing teams and agency partners
Proven experience managing both in-house media teams and external agencies
Deep expertise across paid search, paid social, programmatic, affiliate marketing, and full-funnel performance marketing
Experience with other digital and traditional media channels such as CTV, out of home, print, and broadcast
Strong understanding of SEO, AI-driven optimization, and conversion rate optimization as part of an integrated media strategy
Demonstrated success in lead generation and performance marketing within enrollment-driven or service-based industries; higher education experience highly preferred
Experience developing media strategies informed by audience insights, market research, and competitive analysis
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and evaluating media investment performance
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams, influence cross-functional partners, and drive measurable business impact
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree a plus
