Purpose

PerkinElmer is seeking a commercially driven, digitally savvy, and results-oriented Vice President of Marketing to lead global marketing for the Analytical Testing Solutions (ATS) business unit, spanning its Analytical Solutions and Customer Enablement (AS/CE) businesses, with a strong focus on market awareness, lead generation, and sales enablement. This executive owns and drives the full ATS marketing function — developing and executing strategies that elevate brand visibility, generate a qualified pipeline, expand ATS's digital footprint, and support commercial execution. PerkinElmer's Corporate Communications & Brand Office (CCBO) is a centralized function that supports this work: it sets enterprise brand standards, reviews ATS-created materials for brand and content alignment, and provides an embedded Communications Business Partner to the ATS team but ATS Marketing is the driver and owner of its own strategy, content, and execution, with support from CCBO. The role demands a balance of strategic vision and hands-on operational leadership to strengthen ATS's position in key markets and deliver measurable business impact. Cleared ATS product and launch content earns scheduled, measured amplification on PerkinElmer's corporate channels under the enterprise distribution commitment.

Responsibilities

Marketing Leadership

  • Lead and inspire the global ATS marketing organization.
  • Serve as a senior voice in ATS commercial leadership, collaborating closely with Product Management, Sales, Service, and R&D to drive aligned growth.
  • Build and develop a high-performance team culture rooted in accountability, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Own ATS's brand messaging, customer storytelling, and thought leadership strategy across channels and regions, working within enterprise brand standards and the corporate narrative set by CCBO; CCBO's embedded Communications Business Partner supports delivery and reviews materials for brand and content alignment.

Lead Generation, Campaigns & Qualification

  • Own content strategy, value proposition development, competitive analysis, and delivery of commercial/sales training for ATS, coordinating with CCBO's embedded business partner for brand alignment ; the training platform (Showpad) is operated by CCBO within the shared enterprise stack.
  • Design and oversee integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns aligned with ATS product launches, commercial priorities, and target customer segments — driving brand awareness, demand, and measurable pipeline growth.
  • Build a scalable, data-driven lead generation and qualification engine for ATS, ensuring effective progression from Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs); define the lead-scoring criteria with ATS sales. (CCBO's embedded team builds and maintains the scoring models in HubSpot and applies the enterprise attribution standard.)
  • Continuously optimize routing logic and funnel analytics in close collaboration with sales operations to improve conversion rates and sales velocity.
  • Leverage marketing automation and performance insights to refine targeting, personalize outreach, and maximize campaign ROI.

Digital Marketing & Demand Generation

  • Own paid media and paid search decisions and content for ATS, executing on the shared enterprise Marketing Tech stack (e.g., Showpad, HubSpot, Wrike, Uptempo) that CCBO operates in partnership with IT.
  • Own campaign strategy, campaign plans, briefs, content strategy, and the ATS content calendar, supported by an embedded CCBO Communications Business Partner.
  • Decide direction of webinars and email follow-up; execute webinars and write technical webinar/email copy.
  • Own product and commercial SEO, and all product/technical web content, for ATS. CCBO reviews ATS web content for brand alignment and provides an enterprise-level audience/SEO view to inform strategy.
  • Own paid and organic social content and copy decisions for ATS in coordination with CCBO for overall social content and brand alignment.

Website & Digital Commerce

  • Own ATS product content, pricing, and product knowledge across the website and e-commerce platform, building a seamless and scalable digital commerce experience aligned with GTM and customer experience priorities.
  • Partner with CCBO, which owns and operates the underlying website hosting, e-commerce platform, and cross-business-unit technical infrastructure, via an SLA-based intake process for platform-level requests.

Regional & Event Marketing

  • Decide which shows and events ATS attends, own the event calendar and purpose, and drive regional lead targets to meet AOP.
  • Own lead qualification globally and regionally (e.g., India, China) and assess ROI from event participation.
  • Decide regional digital marketing activities (e.g., webinars) and own the regional webinar and landing-page calendar.
  • Rely on CCBO's event-services team for booth build-out and logistics, third-party/conference coordination, and lead-capture technology setup.

Sales Enablement

  • Equip the sales team with targeted content, value calculators, and tools that support customer conversations and shorten sales cycles.
  • Lead the development of customer-facing assets, value proposition playbooks, and training aligned with evolving product and market strategies.

Customer Insights & Market Intelligence

  • Establish robust Voice of Customer (VOC) and market feedback loops to inform segmentation, messaging, and marketing strategy.
  • Translate data into actionable insights that shape commercial execution.

Performance Management & Budget Accountability

  • Define clear KPIs across the ATS marketing funnel and implement performance dashboards (e.g., bowlers, single-pane-of-glass views) to track campaign impact, pipeline contribution, and ROI.
  • Own the ATS marketing budget and lead annual planning and quarterly forecasting in close coordination with Finance and ATS commercial leadership.
  • Monitor spend vs. plan, optimize resource allocation across regions and initiatives, and adjust in real time based on performance insights and business priorities.
  • Continuously evaluate the cost-efficiency of marketing channels, campaigns, and technology investments to ensure financial discipline and strategic alignment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in B2B marketing leadership roles, ideally within scientific instrumentation, diagnostics, or life sciences industries.
  • Ability to travel, as necessary (+30%).

Preferred Characteristics

  • Bias for action and hands-on.
  • Proven experience leading integrated marketing teams with a strong understanding of digital channels, lead generation, and product marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through strategic marketing programs and commercial alignment.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
