VP Market Development - US

Home-based, East Coast US

Full-time

  • Are you excited to lead a foundational commercial function and build the US sales organization from scratch?
  • Do you have deep expertise in enterprise payments, embedded finance, or fintech - and want to lead into a new market?
  • Can you carry a quota yourself while simultaneously recruiting, developing, and scaling a high-performing sales team?

Who We Are

Modulr is the payments automation platform that streamlines money movement with accuracy, control and reliability – built to scale. We process more than 200m transactions and over £180bn in payment value on an annualised basis, and we’re trusted by over 6,000 businesses from fast-growing SMEs to global enterprises.

We automate how money moves into and out of a business (payroll, supplier payments, spend management and payment collection) through a single platform, connected to the accounting and payroll systems finance teams already use, and underpinned by principal memberships of Visa and Mastercard and direct access to central bank infrastructure.

As a regulated payments provider with over a decade of experience, we’re the platform finance teams trust to run mission-critical operations. Modulr is backed by PayPal, FIS, General Atlantic, Blenheim Chalcot, Frog Capital and Highland Europe, with over 400 employees across London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Mumbai.

Now expanding into the US, Modulr has launched the same programmable, API-first infrastructure across ACH, RTP, FedNow, and push-to-card networks in partnership with leading sponsor banks and FIS.

  • Develop US market commercial strategy including territory planning, named-account tiering, pricing strategy, and go-to-market approach across the three Phase 1 segments.
  • Own the total new-business revenue number and manage the full sales pipeline from generation through close, ensuring quarterly forecasting accuracy and pipeline coverage ahead of target.
  • Partner with Product, Solutions Engineering, and Marketing to refine product positioning for the US market and drive brand presence through speaking engagements and industry conferences.
  • Execute on warm pipeline from existing UK customers with US operations and convert pilot customer references into scalable commercial motion.
