We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to Our Specialty Markets Team!
This proactive, strategic, and disciplined leader serves a critical role in the leadership, development, and execution of GreatAmerica’s sales professionals within our Business Units. Additionally, they serve as the ambassador of GreatAmerica to the channels served by the Business Unit. The role has the following four main accountabilities:
Strategy:
- In alignment with the Business Unit Leader, create volume budgets and associated business plans for the Business Unit to achieve its growth objectives
- Create strategy, execute, and develop repeatable and growing high-profile strategic accounts and relationships that will enhance GreatAmerica’s competitive positioning within the market
- Lead marketing strategy and personnel to ensure thoughtful execution of an approach in alignment with GreatAmerica’s brand in the industry
- Translate strategy into execution through proven and repeatable processes in alignment with GreatAmerica’s sales system and processes
- Communicate and align the sales function with Corporate Sales and Strategy objectives – serving as an inspirational and enthusiastic communicator of the direction of GreatAmerica throughout the Business Unit
Talent acquisition and development:
- Implement a talent acquisition, development, and retention strategy that will enable industry leading sales talent to deliver on established strategic sales plans in partnership with Corporate Sales Training & Development. Also responsible for the bench strength, growth, and development of current and future sales leaders.
Industry Presence:
- Serve as an active promoter and caretaker of GreatAmerica’s brand and reputation by representing and actively contributing to important industry events.
Synergies:
- Identify and foster strategic collaboration opportunities across GreatAmerica within accounts and team members.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibility Areas
- Develops a deep understanding of our customers and end users in the market space and effectively translates this expertise into strategies for success
- Provides support and leadership to individuals assigned with developing high profile account acquisition strategies and creates a culture of accountability to execute on the created plans, including National Accounts
- Proactively ensures GreatAmerica has multi-layer relationships with our most strategic relationships
- Actively evaluates product offerings to enhance competitive positioning in the marketplace – filtering new ideas to actionable outcomes
- Assists sales leaders with their territory strategy creation and execution
- Analyzes the effectiveness of existing sales programs, processes and systems, and leads related improvement initiatives.
- Participates in formulating and administering sales and marketing related policies and developing long range goals and objectives
- Analyzes activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine functional progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- (If applicable) Lead the Sales Support Function to ensure their activities complement the overarching Sales strategy while delivering an amazing customer experience
- Is in attendance during business hours with minimal absences per GreatAmerica’s attendance policy. Attendance requirements include extensive travel and the availability for work out of town on nights and weekends, as necessary.
- Lives the principles; involved in cross functional team efforts as required and assigned.
- Performs other duties as required.
Position Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years consultative sales experience, 3 of which must have been in a supervisory capacity
Computer Skills
- MS Office suite
Other Requirements: Extensive experience, with a track record of success, in leasing and/or the industry served by the Business Unit is highly desirable. Must possess exceptional communication, team building, negotiation, problems solving and interpersonal skills. Must possess mathematical aptitude to ensure appropriate financing of lease arrangements.
