The VP of Growth, Business Operations, and OEM Strategy will play a critical role in driving growth, efficiency, and strategic transformation across the Jeppesen | ForeFlight Global Data business. As a member of the Global Data executive team, this leader will be responsible for tackling some of the most complex strategic challenges, including renegotiating avionics OEM relationships, shaping enterprise growth strategy, and partnering with senior leadership on mergers and acquisitions. This role will also oversee the development of exceptional business intelligence and analytics infrastructure to enable data-driven decision-making, while guiding efficiency and automation initiatives that support internal productivity. The ideal candidate combines deep management consulting experience with exceptional leadership, executive presence, and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization and with external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Renegotiate the structure of our Avionics OEM relationships to optimize for growth and future enterprise value
  • Serve as a strategic thought-partner to the executive team to help bring structure and solutions to unstructured challenges
  • Closely partner with the Global Data business unit leaders to build strategic growth plans for each portfolio, while driving efficiency initiatives across the business
  • Own the Global Data operating model, and lead the Global Data executive team in preparing materials for review by the Jeppesen | ForeFlight C-suite and board of directors
  • Partner with the Jeppesen | ForeFlight executive team in assessing merger and acquisition opportunities to drive growth
  • Develop world-class business intelligence infrastructure and team to enable data-driven decision-making at a granular level across the Global Data business
  • Continually surface options for how to accelerate implementation of our automation strategy to realize internal productivity goals

Basic Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree, plus 5-7 years of leadership in management consulting (preferably at McKinsey, Bain, or BCG)
  • Strong executive presence sufficient to lead strategic relationships with Honeywell, Garmin, Collins, General Electric, and major aircraft manufacturers
  • Proven ability to identify, attract, retain, and cultivate top-tier talent in analyst and business development roles
  • Demonstrated success in modeling new markets, assessing the total addressable market for a new opportunity, and building a cohesive strategy to pursue that opportunity
  • World-class analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to travel at least 30% (customer and leadership meetings)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Executive presence with a track record of influencing C-level stakeholders and boards
  • Austin, TX preferred, but can work remotely from the US
  • Pilot or aviation enthusiast

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well market and business considerations: Summary Pay Range: $200,000-$275,000.
This position is currently part of Boeing but is planned to transition to an independent company owned by Thoma Bravo, as part of a pending divestiture of the Digital Aviation Solutions organization. If you are selected for this role, your employment may initially be with Boeing (dependent on start date). Subject to final regulatory approvals and closing conditions, your employment may transfer to the divested business owned by Thoma Bravo at close. Additional details about this transition will be shared as they become available.
