Department Summary
EchoStar's Corporate FP&A organization drives enterprise decision-making and supports corporate strategy. This agile team works directly with the CFO and senior leaders across strategy, M&A, operational finance and long-range planning.
The VP, Finance - Boost leads all financial planning, analysis and strategic support for EchoStar's retail wireless business. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Finance, this leader oversees a 30+ person team responsible for subscriber economics, promotional ROI, M&A modeling and strategic insights that influence the CEO, Group Presidents and CFO.
This is a high-impact role for a wireless-savvy finance executive who thrives in fast-paced, data-dense environments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Lead, mentor and elevate a 30+ person Retail Wireless Finance team spanning analysts, managers and senior leads.
  • Own the full annual planning cycle for Boost, partnering with business leaders to build, pressure-test and present budgets.

Subscriber Economics & Growth
  • Direct quarterly subscriber lifetime value (LTV) modeling for new and existing Boost customers.
  • Provide insights that inform acquisition strategy, retention levers, pricing decisions and promotional effectiveness.

Boost-Centric M&A & Special Transactions
  • Lead cross-functional data gathering, diligence and modeling for M&A and special transactions including wireless.
  • Build and present clear financial models and decision frameworks for executive review.

Executive Communication & Influence
  • Condense complex financial models into simple, powerful messages for senior leadership.
  • Present strategies, risks and recommendations to the CEO, Group Presidents, CFO and other key stakeholders.
  • Partner with operating teams to evaluate performance drivers, cost structures and expansion opportunities.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as Boost Finance's senior representative in major strategic discussions and cross-functional workstreams.
  • Ensure alignment across Finance, Marketing, Operations, Care, Device and Retail teams to support Boost's growth and profitability.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
  • MBA preferred; strong undergraduate foundation in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Over 15 years of experience in FP&A preferably with publicly traded companies.
  • Expertise in Excel, financial modeling and executive-level presentation development; experience with SQL, Access or OneStream is a plus.
  • Strong analytical capability including DCF, probability, scenario modeling and large-scale data interpretation.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts and influence executives.
  • Experience within subscriber-based businesses (wireless, telecom, cable or broadband) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to build trust and productive relationships across departments and leadership levels.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $200,000.00/Year - $300,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
