Job Overview:

Coursera’s Enterprise Marketing team connects businesses, universities and governments with our world-class learning products, content and solutions.  Enterprise Marketers play an important role in accelerating the growth and market share of the Enterprise Business globally with innovative marketing programs to attract, retain, and expand relationships across all segments.

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and deeply analytical Vice President of Enterprise Marketing. In this role, you will own the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for Coursera’s global enterprise business (B2B). We are looking for a leader who has full-stack marketing experience and can work effectively across marketing functional teams and key stakeholders to lead our enterprise marketing function. This role will focus on building a world-class growth engine that architects and scales an integrated, full-funnel demand generation strategy—transforming market awareness into a high-converting pipeline, while simultaneously driving a robust customer marketing engine focused on user engagement, net revenue retention, and turning successful clients into passionate brand advocates.

From driving top-of-funnel velocity through sophisticated digital and ABM strategies, to executing high-impact regional events, to mobilizing existing customers for expansion and advocacy—you will own the entire enterprise lifecycle. You will be a critical strategic partner to our global sales and customer success organizations, obsessed not just with lead volume, but with delivering high-quality pipeline that converts to closed-won revenue, while partnering post-sale to maximize customer lifetime value and retention.

What we mean by "Full-Stack": You are an executive who can connect the dots across the entire marketing ecosystem. You are as comfortable collaborating on high-level brand messaging and product positioning as you are diving into conversion funnels, pipeline math, and marketing automation workflows. You understand that marketing's job isn't done when a lead is captured—it's done when the purchase is made, the customer renews and expands.

If you are excited by the fast pace of building a global business that is having an impact on the world, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a global team consisting of the following functions:  global demand generation, regional marketing (North America, Latin America, EMEA, APAC, Japan), customer and Channel partner marketing.  You will provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
    • Design, execute, and scale a unified, global demand generation strategy utilizing full-funnel integrated campaigns that cut through the noise and capture enterprise demand. Oversee multi-channel activation strategies across digital marketing (paid media, SEO, SEM, content syndication), highly targeted Account-Based Marketing (ABM) for strategic accounts, and high-impact global and regional events.
  • Forge a tight, locked-step partnership with the Global Enterprise Sales leadership team, aligning marketing strategies directly with sales targets, territories, and go-to-market priorities.
  • Partner with the Customer Success and Account Management teams to build a robust post-sale customer marketing engine that drives continuous user engagement and platform adoption.  Develop targeted lifecycle campaigns designed to fuel cross-sell and upsell opportunities, directly impacting Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and lifetime value (LTV).
  • Build a formal customer advocacy program to turn our most successful enterprise clients into vocal brand champions, generating high-value case studies, testimonials, and peer-to-peer references.
  • Design and execute marketing strategies that leverage Coursera’s strategic enterprise partners, including system integrators (SIs), technology partners, and global distributors.  Develop joint value propositions, co-marketing campaigns, and "market-with" initiatives to drive pipeline expansion and accelerate deal velocity within the partner ecosystem.  Create and distribute partner-enablement toolkits, assets, and playbooks to ensure partner sales teams can effectively position and sell Coursera’s enterprise solution
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of  marketing programs, providing regular reports and analysis to senior leadership through formal (MBR and QBRs) and informal reviews.  Move beyond vanity metrics; take shared accountability for revenue targets by focusing ruthlessly on pipeline quality, stage-to-stage velocity, and high conversion rates to closed-won revenue.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI on marketing investments.  Optimize LTV/CAC.
  • Develop impactful communication channels, forums and feedback loops to share marketing plans, progress and performance to goals with cross-functional leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years Enterprise SaaS marketing experience in a fast-growth environment
  • 10+ years responsible for building and orchestrating global marketing strategies/plans for a business/business unit in a highly matrixed environment
  • 7+ years of experience managing managers of managers and teams of 30+ team members
  • Analytical skills and ability to leverage data to make business cases and decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including executive presence and engagement skills
  • Ability to travel internationally to support marketing teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven full stack marketing experience
  • Experience marketing to businesses, government and higher education a plus
  • Proven experience engaging at an executive level internally with cross-functional groups and externally with partners and customers
  • Proven experience marketing to, through and with partners
  • Proven experience working in a highly matrixed environment, including expertise in leading through others and a track record of leading successful cross-functional programs, and ability to influence
  • Proven experience helping build/scale businesses

Compensation: $300 - $350K plus bonus and equity
