Summary
The Vice President of Business Development will establish and grow NAES Technologies (Renewables and StratoSight) presence via the development of a pipeline of prospective customers for NAES service offerings. In this role, you will seek and develop business to meet the strategic objectives of the Company while also providing leadership and mentoring of subordinate staff.
Primary Duties
- Provide leadership in business development activities in the assigned region.
- Create a broad network of Technical Services (TS) industry contacts through various means, including phone calls, traveling to meet with clients, and hosting client visits.
- Build business relationships and professional network with vendors, legal firms, and financial entities supplying services to the renewable generation industry.
- Identify TS new business opportunities through receiving and evaluating information regarding potential projects and provide recommendations for pursuit of same.
- Position the Company to negotiate or bid on TS projects.
- Provide customer and competitive information and be integral in the proposal process.
- Provide support to subsidiary companies in business development and proposal activities as requested.
- Represent the Company’s policies and strategies to potential clients.
- Identify business acquisition opportunities that may be of interest to the company.
Working Relationships
The position reports to the President – NAES Technologies.
Compensation
The initial compensation is $201,600 to $231,000
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- Sufficient experience in the renewable energy industry to represent NAES’ capabilities to prospective clients.
- Extensive experience in a sales/marketing managerial role (7-10+ years preferred). International sales experience is desirable.
- Supervisory experience highly desirable with the ability to coach and mentor others.

- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong ability to initiate and drive tasks independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Normal hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Large amounts of travel (50%) and significant amounts of additional time required.
