What We’re Looking For

Delve Deeper is seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Business Development to serve as the senior-most sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth and client acquisition for our $30MM digital media and marketing agency. This executive will own all aspects of new business development, enterprise sales strategy, pipeline generation, and deal closure — with a particular emphasis on expanding our footprint in the insurance, financial, nonprofit, NGO, and charitable giving sectors.

The ideal candidate brings a proven record of cultivating high-value partnerships, engaging C-suite and board-level stakeholders, and delivering measurable results. They will leverage Delve Deeper’s strengths in performance media, first-party data science, and technology integration to deliver data-driven marketing solutions to mid-size and enterprise clients.

This is a high-visibility leadership role that will shape the agency’s growth trajectory, strengthen market position, and drive transformative outcomes for mission-driven organizations on a global scale.

Location

This role is based in our Louisville / Boulder, Colorado office, where we follow a hybrid schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in-office, with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. 

The position also requires up to 35% travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.

For candidates outside of Colorado, we offer a relocation package to help make the move seamless. We want our leaders to feel fully supported as they join the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and Manage Pipeline – Develop and maintain a high-quality pipeline through targeted prospecting, relationship cultivation, and integrated inbound/outbound strategies.
  • Serve as Trusted Advisor – Present sophisticated, data-driven marketing solutions to senior decision-makers, building credibility and trust as a consultative partner.
  • Own Complex Sales Cycles – Lead RFP responses, proposals, and high-stakes presentations in collaboration with strategy, analytics, and creative teams.
  • Align for Client Success – Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales commitments and high client satisfaction.
  • Deliver Sales Targets – Track KPIs such as pipeline velocity, win rates, and client lifetime value, to hit given revenue sales targets.

What You Bring

  • Proven Revenue Target Hitter – Consistently meets or exceeds revenue goals, with a strong track record of delivering measurable growth.
  • Intrapreneurial Mindset – Operates independently with initiative, ownership, and creativity in uncovering and driving new opportunities.
  • Empathetic Listener & Trusted Advisor – Exceptional emotional intelligence, able to listen deeply, ask insightful questions, and guide conversations toward meaningful outcomes (e.g., using FIND and MEDIC).
  • Process & Project Management Discipline – Detail-oriented and systematic; committed to using sales enablement resources, rigorous HubSpot tracking, and structured processes.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships, ideally with nonprofit/charity sector exposure.
  • Expertise in digital media, performance marketing, customer lifetime value, fundraising, and donor acquisition/retention.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with influence at the highest levels.
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive; resilient, resourceful, and results-oriented.

Compensation

This role offers a base salary range of $160,000 – $200,000 with an on-target earnings (OTE) potential of $250,000 – $325,000. The annual performance-based bonus program rewards both individual results (sales targets, new business) and company-wide success, with significant upside for exceptional performance.
