KUSA KTVD-TV, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Denver is looking for a full-time Morning Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate is proficient at creating captivating and shareable content for television, social media, and mobile platforms.
You must be a self-starter who is technologically savvy and can work under tight deadlines. We are looking for individuals who possess a keen artistic eye, a deep understanding of editing and photography techniques, and a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities: 

  • Use editing tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms.
  • Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories.
  • Work closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists and the digital team.

Requirements: 

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop
  • Interest in broadcast and digital news content
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules
  • Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends

Pay Range
$21$25 USD
Benefits:

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.

TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
