Edit high-volume short-form video ads for Meta placements and other channels, transforming briefs and raw footage into conversion-focused content. Responsibilities include hook-first editing, pacing, captions, sound design, motion graphics, color correction, resizing, reframing, localization, and rapid revisions. The editor will produce approximately 30 concepts monthly while collaborating with creative leadership and maintaining brand standards across paid social, organic social, websites, email, UGC, and retargeting content.
This is a remote position.
Turn briefs and raw footage into scroll-stopping, high-volume video ads that drive conversion for a mission-driven e-commerce brand.
Location: Remote
Role Type: Contract | Consultant-contractor | Ongoing monthly (volume-based)
Reports to: Creative Director / Creative Strategist
The opportunity
Our client is scaling its creative output for Meta from roughly 12 to 30 new concepts per month. They are seeking a Video Editor to take written briefs and folders of footage and reliably produce finished, high-quality video at pace. In this role, you will cut ads built specifically for Meta placements (feed, reels, stories), collaborate with the Creative Strategist and Creative Director to maintain brand standards, and help ensure the account never runs dry by delivering fast, clean revisions across a high-velocity pipeline.
About the organization
Our client is a mission-driven e-commerce brand focused on olive oil and related products, committed to authentic storytelling without fake urgency or hard-sell gimmicks. The creative team is currently focused on rebuilding their editing bench to raise both craft and speed, ensuring that every asset—from cold outreach to retargeting—maintains a "hook-first" approach while keeping the customer as the hero.
What you will do
- Cut finished video ads to brief, ensuring a strong hook in the first second, tight pacing, captions, and sound design ready for immediate deployment on Meta. Quality and retention-focused editing is the #1 priority.
- Resize and reframe single concepts into multiple assets for different funnel stages (cold, consideration, retargeting) and placements (feed, reels, stories).
- Maintain high volume and speed, managing reliable turnaround times and handling revision rounds efficiently within a fast-paced workflow.
- Apply motion graphics, subtitles, color correction, and simple animation to meet the client’s specific brand and quality standards.
- Produce a range of video content beyond paid ads, including organic social cuts, website/PDP videos, email clips, UGC edits, and localized/subtitled versions.
What you bring
- Demonstrated ability to edit short-form DTC ads for paid social, shown through a reel featuring performed Meta ads rather than just montages or film-festival style work.
- Fluent proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or DaVinci Resolve), with strong skills in captioning, motion graphics, and sound design.
- Experience working at volume, demonstrating calm reliability and speed under a consistent, high-cadence production schedule. Must be comfortable handling ~30 concepts/month across multiple placements.
- Low-ego, brief-driven mindset with the ability to take direction clearly and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Understanding of Meta-specific metrics such as hook rate and retention, prioritizing commercial effectiveness over artistic abstraction.
Helpful, but not essential
- Mission fluency, particularly if you are Palestinian or have a genuine connection to the brand’s story and values.
- Ability to shoot video in addition to editing, allowing for greater versatility in content creation.
- Experience in other e-commerce verticals or direct-to-consumer brands with similar scaling needs.
How the engagement works
Contracting party: You will contract directly with Apricot, which will manage contracting, invoicing/payroll, payments, and administrative support. Day to day, you will work with the client’s creative team and report to the Creative Director/Creative Strategist. For this consultant engagement, your work will be based on ongoing monthly delivery. The role begins with a paid trial consisting of one or two cuts from real briefs to assess fit, followed by a continuing monthly contract. You are expected to provide your own laptop and basic equipment, maintain reliable connectivity, and follow required security controls. Planned check-ins are scheduled for month 1 and month 3 to see how the engagement is working and help address any issues.
