Role Overview
We’re looking for a brilliant Video Content Creator who can translate complex health topics into impactful, educational, and highly shareable video content. Your content will play a vital role in expanding Hey Jane’s digital presence and ensuring that everyone—regardless of where they scroll—knows they have a safe, supportive place to turn for care. This is a part-time contract position and is fully remote.
Who you are:
- Enthusiastic creative who gets a thrill from creating engaging viral videos (for yourself or a brand)
- Proven track record of identifying and leveraging what makes a Reel, YouTube Short or TikTok work: trends, hashtags, music usage, functionalities, best practices, and platform updates
- Experienced in following brand and/or messaging guidelines
- Comfortable being in front of the camera and possess excellent verbal and written skills
- Results driven with an openness to receiving feedbackIndependent but reliable when it comes to delivering assets
- Passionate about abortion access and reproductive care
You will:
- Use your creativity to ideate and develop new, highly engaging content about reproductive care (from abortion and birth control to yeast infections and UTIs) in order to help grow our social audience
- Film and edit all original video assets (mobile device and within the Instagram/TikTok apps is fine)
- Work with Hey Jane’s marketing team to ensure that content is aligned with brand messaging, identity, and aesthetics and apply any edits/feedback within a week
- Keep up with the latest social media trends (including news, memes, celebrities, music, etc.) and find brand-right ways to incorporate them into your content
- Hit monthly content and posting goals (minimum of 5 videos/month)
- Be a thoughtful voice around reproductive care during this pivotal moment
