The Video Ad Editor creates high-converting short-form advertisements for social media, optimizing content for engagement and performance metrics.

Our client is looking for a Video Ad Editor to join their growing team and create high-converting paid social creatives across multiple digital platforms. They operate within the consumer products and e-commerce space and have experienced significant growth in recent years, expanding internationally and securing placements in major retail stores across multiple markets.
The Video Ad Editor will play a key role in producing performance-focused creative assets designed to drive measurable results across paid social channels. This is a fast-paced, hands-on editing role focused on direct response advertising rather than traditional cinematic editing.
The ideal candidate understands how to create scroll-stopping ads optimized for retention, engagement, and conversions. They should be highly comfortable working with short-form vertical content and testing multiple creative angles quickly.
- Edit short-form paid social advertisements ranging from 10–60 seconds for platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and similar channels.
- Transform raw footage, UGC, testimonials, product demonstrations, and static assets into high-performing ad creatives.
- Develop multiple creative variations to test different hooks, messaging angles, and offers.
- Repurpose existing organic and UGC content into conversion-focused advertisements.
- Add captions, motion graphics, overlays, animations, and compelling calls-to-action.
- Collaborate closely with growth, paid media, and creative teams to align content with campaign goals.
- Review ad performance metrics and optimize creatives based on data insights.
- Maintain quick turnaround times while preserving creative quality and brand consistency.
- Continuously experiment with new editing approaches and creative testing strategies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience specifically editing paid social advertisements.
- Strong understanding of direct response marketing principles.
- Proven experience creating vertical-format content (9:16).
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing platforms.
- Experience creating engaging captions and on-screen text for social ads.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Comfortable integrating AI tools into editing and creative workflows.
- Strong understanding of performance metrics such as CPA, ROAS, hook rate, and retention rate.
- Experience producing high-volume creative variations efficiently.
- Previous experience editing performance marketing creatives for e-commerce or consumer brands.
- Strong understanding of social media trends and short-form storytelling.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to make creative decisions based on performance insights.
- Ability to receive feedback constructively and adapt quickly.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience collaborating in fast-moving remote teams.
- Detail-oriented while maintaining speed and efficiency.
