Role Overview:
As the Vice President of Solution Engineering for Digital Product Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our Digital Product and Digital Platform delivery capabilities. This senior leadership position demands a visionary leader who can refine and expand our offerings, lead high-performing teams, and ensure our solutions consistently exceed client expectations. You will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of our engineering efforts, originating new business opportunities, and leading complex sales pursuits. Your role will also involve managing key application development vendor partnerships and coaching your team to excel in the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
*Lead and mentor the Digital Product Development service area team, driving performance and professional development for all team members.
*Evolve and expand our Digital Product Development capabilities, solutions, and offerings to meet emerging market demands and showcase our experience.
*Leverage customer insights to continuously improve our solutions and offerings.
Sales and Client Engagement:
*Conduct client discovery calls to tell the Gorilla Logic story and share our capabilities.
*Identify and pursue new Digital Product Development opportunities within existing and new client portfolios, emphasizing a solution-led approach.
*Lead technical responses for sales pursuits, providing architecture recommendations, delivery approaches, strategic solutions, and estimates.
*Serve as the technical lead on complex sales pursuits and proposals, guiding the team to successful outcomes and directing the involvement of other subject matter experts.
*Collaborate with Client Service Teams to strengthen strategic accounts and drive innovation.
Solution Development and Delivery:
*Drive content development and enhancement of capabilities, solutions, and offerings across all service areas, ensuring they meet client needs and market demands.
*Establish and refine templates and processes for the Solution Engineering organization, including pitch decks, qualifying questions, and technical responses for strategic pursuits.
*Ensure our solutions align with client needs and industry trends, positioning Gorilla Logic as a leader in Digital Product Development.
Talent Development:
*Partner with Delivery and Practice Leads to develop career progression frameworks, shape learning plans, and refine interview processes.
*Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning within Gorilla Logic.
Application Vendor Channel Strategy and Partnership Management:
*Set the strategic direction for application development alliance partnerships with Confluent, SonarSource, and others in the future.
*Serve as the senior point of contact for application development alliance partners, driving mutual success through strong relationships and strategic collaboration.
Required Skills and Experience:
*15+ years of experience in relevant fields, with a strong background in full-stack development and the delivery of digital products and digital platforms for customer-facing applications.
*Former experience as a software industry leader (e.g., CTO or similar) or experience in digital product engineering industry strongly preferred.
*Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex projects with significant impact, including extensive experience in client-facing roles.
*Deep expertise in many or most Service Lines within the Digital Product Development Service Area, including Product Discovery, User Experience & UI Design, Digital Product Engineering, Systems Integration, Legacy Modernization, and Sustenance Engineering.
*Demonstrated success in sales engineering and business development, with experience identifying opportunities, contributing to sales strategies, and closing deals in a technical capacity.
*Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions and value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
*Proven ability to earn credibility quickly, especially when engaging with C-level executives.
*Strong collaboration skills with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to drive business growth.
*Advanced coaching and mentoring skills, with experience in leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
*Strategic thinking, project management, and risk management skills.
*Proven ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
*Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting ideas to English-speaking stakeholders.
*Willingness to travel occasionally to client locations in the United States or Gorilla Logic offices in San Jose, Costa Rica or Medellin, Colombia as needed.,
