Leads the US cybersecurity sales organization, developing sales strategies, driving revenue, managing targets and pipelines, and overseeing forecasting and budgets. Recruits, coaches, and evaluates sales professionals while building client relationships, resolving concerns, and supporting retention. Analyzes market trends, delivers executive cybersecurity briefings and billable advisory services, reports performance to leadership, and collaborates with marketing, product, and customer service teams.
The Vice President, Sales is responsible for leading and managing the Cybersecurity sales team for the entire US. This role will develop and implement strategic sales plans, drive revenue growth, and ensure the achievement of sales goals. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve the company's sales goals and objectives.
- Analyze cybersecurity market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
- Collaborate with senior sales leadership to set sales targets and develop strategies to meet them.
- Lead, manage, and motivate a high-performing cybersecurity sales team.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop cybersecurity sales professionals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
- Oversee the daily operations of the sales team, including territory management, sales forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Ensure the sales team adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Resolve client issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and manage the sales budget for the designated area.
- Monitor and control sales expenses to ensure profitability.
- Deliver executive briefings, Innovation Forums, and/or professional cybersecurity services that are billable such as table top incident response reviews, ransomware runbook reviews, PCI Gap analysis, etc.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and budgets to senior leadership.
- Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership, sales team members, and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7-9 years of sales experience and leadership experience.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity professional services.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales data and market trends.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Proficiency in crafting and executing complex sales strategies for new and existing markets.
- Experience fostering a high-performance, results-driven culture.
