The Role:

Are you a builder, a visionary, and a master of narrative? DailyPay is creating the world's next financial system by rewriting the invisible rules of money, starting with pay. We are seeking a Vice President of Public Relations to join our leadership team and serve as the architect of our external communications strategy as we prepare for a landmark phase in our company's history.

This is more than a leadership role; it's an opportunity to shape the future of a category. You will own our corporate narrative, cement our position as the undisputed leader in on-demand pay, and elevate our brand to the level of an industry giant.

We're looking for a candid yet understanding storyteller with a proven track record of bringing companies to the public eye. You will not only amplify our mission but also build our CEO's presence as a visionary leader. If you are a dedicated and aware leader with deep media relationships and the courage to challenge the status quo, you belong on our team.

If this opportunity excites you, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all of the qualifications.

How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Strategy & Narrative Development

    • Develop and execute the company’s comprehensive public relations strategy, creating a distinctive and impactful narrative that aligns with business objectives

    • Design and implement multi-faceted PR campaigns to solidify the company’s leadership position in the on-demand pay and financial wellness sectors

    • Partner with the brand research leader to transform user, client, and public data into compelling, newsworthy research and thought leadership that resonates with key audiences, including media, clients, investors, and regulators

  • Media & Analyst Relations

    • Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers across business, technology, finance, and HR media

    • Serve as the company’s lead liaison with HCM/Payroll industry analysts, managing relationships and securing favorable briefings and coverage

    • Proactively identify and pitch compelling stories to secure high-impact media placements

  • Content & Executive Visibility

    • Serve as the strategic communications partner to the CEO and C-suite, providing counsel, and elevating their presence as a visionary leader in the industry

    • Lead the creation of high-quality written content, including press releases, white papers, first-person executive op-eds, talking points, and Q&As

    • Strategically identify and secure high-profile speaking opportunities for company executives to amplify our mission and value proposition

    • Collaborate with the Events team to develop powerful narratives and talk tracks for executive appearances at panels, keynotes, and fireside chats

    • Oversee the CEO’s social media presence, creating and curating relevant content that reinforces our brand and thought leadership

  • Integrated & Cross-Functional Communications

    • Lead and mentor a team of publicists and communications professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and strategic execution

    • Collaborate closely with the Public Policy team and Corporate Communications team to develop a strategic narrative and earned media strategy targeted at key government regulators and policymakers

    • Partner with the Corporate Communications team on crisis communication plans and to develop media strategies that integrate into broader 360-degree communication strategies that reach all internal and external stakeholders

    • Serve as the lead communications liaison for partners, clients, and industry associations, driving joint announcements, bylined articles, and media pitches

    • Write key internal communications for the CEO, including speeches, opening remarks, and Q&As for company-wide events like monthly town halls

  • Program Management & Execution

    • Devise and execute a comprehensive awards strategy to secure third-party validation and recognition for our industry leadership

    • Oversee the company podcast, including identifying, pitching, and scheduling high-caliber guests such as clients, partners, industry leaders, and policymakers

What You Bring to The Team:
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in public relations and communications, with a proven track record of managing high-stakes situations and leading teams. Experience in fintech, HR Tech, or high-growth B2B SaaS environments preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field

  • Extensive, high-level relationships with top-tier business, technology, finance, and trade journalists and editors. A proven ability to secure high-impact, feature-length earned media is non-negotiable

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, compelling messaging

  • Demonstrated experience in executive communications, including media training, speechwriting, and social media management for C-level leaders

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, proactive approach; able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis management and reputational risk mitigation, with a strong understanding of how to protect and enhance a brand's reputation in a dynamic media landscape

What We Offer:
  • Exceptional health, vision, and dental care

  • Opportunity for equity ownership

  • Life and AD&D, short- and long-term disability

  • Employee Assistance Program
