The Vice President, Payer Sales is responsible for the establishment of strategic frameworks for capitalizing on identified opportunities across the business as well as approaching new prospects. Together with the SVP, Growth, and the Payer Sales Team, The Vice President, Payer Sales is responsible for creating short- and long-term strategies to ensure the organization’s growth and development.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for driving the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals with strategic Health Plans and Payer Organizations.
- Articulate ROI models, discuss analytics and AI/ML technologies, and position solutions that enhance payment integrity
- Demonstrate a track record of closing large deals (typically $500k+ ACV) and navigating long, complex sales cycles.
- Design and implement processes to support business growth through client and market definition.
- Attend trade shows and represent TREND to promote brand awareness and build relationships.
- Conduct analyses regarding overall performance to provide useful insights for improved strategy formulation and informed decision-making.
- Build and maintain high-level contacts with current and prospective clients and other business partners.
- Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective marketing and sales strategies.
- Provide strategic feedback from the Payer Market to help establish best in class sales process and focus for the team
- Place the highest priority on providing quality service, continuously striving to improve the overall service TREND is providing.
- Ensure that regular collaboration and communication occurs within all departments.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with payer executives (e.g., VP’s of Payment Integrity, CFO’s, Claims Directors, etc.)
- Develop and maintain a strong industry involvement that is directly beneficial to TREND.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare, or related field required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirement.
- Experience in management, business development, sales, marketing, or a related field is required.
- 10+ years providing service to top clients.
- 10+ years healthcare domain experience preferred.
- Ability to drive change and effectively manage communication with internal and external customers.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Superior organization presentation, and relationship building skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Business and strategic planning capability
Mental and Physical Demands
- This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected to work in or around computers and printers.
- The nature of the work is sedentary, and the employee will be sitting most of the time.
