About The Role

The Vice President, Marketing - Stadiums owns revenue-focused marketing strategy for the stadium venues within their portfolio, spanning ticket sales, premium seating and experiences, private events, hospitality, merchandise, and other revenue-generating lines of business. The role sets the standards, strategy, and performance expectations that venue-level Marketing teams execute locally, with scope covering digital and traditional marketing strategy, external communications strategy, creative direction, and partner integration - all in service of high-level portfolio performance and consistent alignment to Legends Global Marketing Network standards of excellence.

This position reports to the SVP, Venue Marketing, and serves as the senior marketing leader for the venues in their portfolio, directing and coaching venue-level marketing leaders toward consistent, revenue-driving execution, developing talent, and serving as the escalation point for complex promoter, client, and cross-functional matters. Responsibilities may shift dynamically through technology and AI integrations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)

  • Elevate marketing performance across the portfolio through best-practice sharing, skill development, and mentorship of venue marketing teams - with revenue growth as the measure of success.
  • Provide KPIs, benchmarks, and quarterly business performance reviews to venue leadership that translate key metrics directly into revenue-focused growth priorities.
  • Tailor strategic marketing support by venue type, market, contract type, and event genre to maximize local revenue performance.
  • Connect venue teams to Home Office specialists in premium seating, private events, and hospitality to build revenue-generating campaigns across non-ticketed lines of business.
  • Provide budget planning templates, benchmark spend guidance, and vendor proposal/contract auditing support to drive the strongest possible return on marketing investment.
  • Evaluate, pilot, and champion emerging marketing technologies and AI driven tools to enhance venue team capabilities, improved operational efficiencies, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain operational and technical playbooks that give venue teams repeatable, revenue-focused frameworks to scale revenue-driving efficiency across the network.
  • Own national promoter marketing relationships, monitoring and escalating priorities to protect revenue and the relationship.
  • Direct tour-wide marketing strategy and activations, measuring performance across venues to drive ticket sales from one tour stop to the next.
  • Provide benchmark ticket sales pacing data and self-service marketing intelligence tools and dashboards that enable venue teams to make data-informed, revenue-driving decisions.
  • Provide onboarding, documentation, and self-service learning resources to drive tool adoption and consistent, revenue-focused execution.
  • Offer webinars, office hours, and targeted sessions for new initiatives and system enhancements.
  • Partner with venue management leaders and HR to attract, evaluate, and hire top marketing talent; provide input on organizational structure and marketing's roles to ensure venues are resourced appropriately.
  • Mentor and directly develop Directors of Marketing and other marketing team members across the portfolio.
  • Identify and facilitate partner and vendor-led trainings to keep venue teams ahead of the curve.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by staying active across industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving marketing best practices.

WHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE     

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in marketing or related field
  • 10+ years of marketing experience
  • Previous experience in a marketing role at a stadium venue is required
  • Experience marketing or supporting large-scale, high-profile events and sporting tenants (e.g., NFL, Super Bowl, College Football Playoff, major concert tours, or other tentpole events) strongly preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop marketing leaders across a multi-venue portfolio
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate with C-level clients and senior stakeholders
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidates should possess excellent time management, strong work ethic, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job-specific safety training.

KEY LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES

  • Directly manages Directors of Marketing across the venues within their portfolio in partnership with venue management leaders, and in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include support of hiring, training, and development of lead marketing team members; setting performance expectations and standards of excellence; supporting performance reviews; and addressing performance or personnel matters in partnership with venue management leaders Human Resources.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $160,000 commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. This role is also bonus eligible. Legends Global offers a competitive total rewards package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
