About this role

About this role

BlackRock's Latin America Distribution business is one of the firm's most dynamic and fast-growing segments, delivering the full range of BlackRock's investment platform—mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternatives, and portfolio solutions—to wealth and institutional clients across the region.

The Product Pillar sits at the center of this effort, responsible for driving and enabling commercial results at scale through product prioritization, sales enablement and activation, and ongoing product development strategy. The Pillar's mission is to deliver the firm's global product and investment capabilities to Latin America.

We are seeking a Vice President to join the Product Pillar team, reporting to the Product Pillar Lead within LatAm Distribution. The role is based in New York, NY and will work closely with sales, investment teams (GPS/PMG), marketing, and regional leadership to define, activate, and influence the product agenda for the region.

Primary Responsibilities:

Define Product Priorities

  • Support the definition of commercial product priorities for Wealth and Institutional segments, executing the Product and Portfolio Framework (PPF) through the LatAm Product Distribution Council (LPDC).
  • Help define the year-ahead budget for priority products and monitor ongoing NNBF progress against targets.
  • Prepare and present strategy updates through LPDC meetings on a trimester basis, synthesizing performance data, competitive positioning, and flow trends.
  • Conduct competitive landscape analysis (Morningstar, industry flows, peer comparisons) to inform product positioning and identify whitespace opportunities.

Activate Commercialization

  • Deliver PPF-aligned sales enablement tools including LatAm myEssentials, Investment Directions, training calendar, and product collaterals.
  • Coordinate and execute PPF-aligned client engagements: roadshow/event strategy, webinars, campaigns, and CRM enablement.
  • Execute strategic management changes in key products (PM/strategy changes, closures, new launches), coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Operations.

Influence Global Product Development

  • Represent the LatAm business in front of global product (GPS) and investment (PMG) groups, ensuring regional client needs are heard. Integrate LatAm client needs into EMEA and US product pipeline strategy across Liquid Active, Index, and Private Markets.
  • Participate in ICC, Global Product & Investment Committees (EQ, FI, MASS; EMEA Product Development) on behalf of the region.

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in investment product strategy, product management, distribution support, or a related role within asset management.
  • Strong understanding of the investment product landscape across asset classes (equities, fixed income, multi-asset, alternatives, ETFs, SMAs).
  • Strong project management skills—ability to manage multiple workstreams (roadshows, enablement tools, product launches) simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate investment content into commercial tools and messaging for sales teams and end clients.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize performance data, flow trends, and competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort presenting to senior stakeholders and investment teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field required.
  • CFA or equivalent advanced certification preferred.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency strongly preferred; English fluency required.
  • High character individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$150,000.00 - USD$200,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
