GPO Operating Model Transformation

  • Design and execute a multi-year roadmap to modernize and automate GPO operations across sourcing, contracting, compliance, analytics, supplier engagement, finance support. 
  • Identify and eliminate manual, duplicative, or low-value work through process redesign, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Establish standardized, scalable operating models that support growth, innovation, and speed.

Automation, Data & Digital Enablement

  • Partner with Technology, Data & Analytics, and Product teams to deploy automation tools (e.g., workflow automation, RPA, AI, contract intelligence).
  • Champion data-driven decision-making by improving access to real-time insights across GPO performance, utilization, compliance, and savings realization.
  • Ensure automation efforts are member-centric, intuitive, and aligned to Vizient’s digital strategy.

Financial & Performance Optimization

  • Drive measurable improvements in margin, productivity, cycle time, and cost to serve.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to track GPO efficiency, automation adoption, and value realization.
  • Continuously evaluate ROI of automation and optimization initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

  • Serve as a connector across Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, Legal, Member Services, and Commercial teams.
  • Influence without authority, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared outcomes.
  • Act as a change leader—building trust, momentum, and accountability across the organization.

Member & Supplier Value Creation

  • Improve the member experience by simplifying processes, accelerating access to contracts, and enhancing transparency.
  • Enable more strategic, data-driven supplier engagement through streamlined workflows and insights.
  • Ensure operational changes ultimately translate into clearer, faster, and more tangible member value.

Talent & Change Leadership

  • Build and lead high-performing teams focused on process excellence, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Embed a culture of innovation, experimentation, and learning.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure adoption and sustained impact.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
