Each member is to be viewed as a trusted finance business parter.
  • Own the corporate planning framework while partnering with the product line leadership and manufacturing operations, including revenue alignment, C+4 quarterly forecasts, annual operating plan (AOP), long-term model, scenario modeling, ad hoc analysis and investment prioritization.
  • Maintain a consistent financial rhythm across the enterprise, ensuring high‑quality and timely forecasts and deep partnership with business owners.

Executive Storytelling & Strategic Influence

  • Create a compelling, executive‑ready financial narrative that elevates how Calix leaders understand company performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Distill complex financial and operational information into clear, concise insights for the CFO, COLT and Board, using data to shape strategic decisions.
  • Build frameworks and presentations that shift conversations from “what happened” to “what we should do next” as part of our “better-better-never-best” mindset.

Cross‑Functional Business Partnership

  • Serve as the senior financial advisor for corporate planning and span across field facing and supporting organizations, aligning both operational execution and long‑term strategy.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and Success leadership to evaluate business cases, commission planning, pricing models, platform investments and customer‑driven priorities.
  • Collaborate with Products, Operations and G&A to align resources, workforce planning and financial discipline.
  • Partner with the Controller to deliver upon the monthly close process to ensure rigor to our reporting cadence.

Team & Culture Leadership

  • Build a world‑class FP&A organization known for strategic thinking, high‑quality output, strong relationships and business acumen.
  • Coach FP&A leaders to evolve from reporting to true thought partnership and influence.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, financial rigor and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • 20+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant leadership of FP&A organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading FP&A teams that support cross‑functional areas such as Sales, GTM, Success, Products, T&C, Legal, IT and Accounting.
  • Proven ability to craft and deliver executive financial narratives for COLT and Board audiences.
  • Strong command of forecasting, modeling, scenario analysis and strategic decision frameworks.
  • Experience managing both FP&A and controllership/accounting organizations will be a plus.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS, subscription, or platform‑based business models.

Preferred

  • Prior leadership experience in high‑growth or transformation‑oriented tech environments.
  • Expertise with Oracle Financials, BI platforms and modern planning tools, including use of AI.
  • CPA, CFA or MBA.

Decision‑Making Authority & Scope

  • Makes decisions within the Finance & Accounting function, escalating only those with cross‑company strategic implications.
  • Responsible for establishing the strategic financial plan for the function, in alignment with corporate direction.
  • Leads a multi‑disciplinary finance team with broad cross‑company impact.
