Who We Are

International Justice Mission (IJM) is the global leader in protecting vulnerable people from violence around the world. Our team of over 1,200 professionals are at work worldwide in over 30 offices. Together we are on a mission to rescue millions, protect half a billion, and make justice unstoppable.

We are a global community that cares for one another. We believe that the way we work is as important as the results we achieve. We provide professional excellence with joy and celebration to all those we serve.

The Need

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Vice President of Enterprise Data Analytics to lead the transformation of IJM into a unified, data-driven organization by establishing and scaling an integrated enterprise data ecosystem. This leader is responsible for connecting fragmented data capabilities across regions, programs, fundraising, and operations into a cohesive, trusted, and scalable data environment and will define and drive enterprise data strategy, architecture, governance, and analytics—enabling IJM to operate with clarity, speed, and insight in pursuit of its mission.

This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Chief Data & Technology Officer and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Data Strategy & Architecture

  • Define and lead IJM’s enterprise data strategy, aligning business priorities with data, analytics, and platform investments;

  • Establish a clear target state architecture spanning data platforms, integrations, analytics tools, and AI enablement;

  • Drive the transition from fragmented systems to a connected, enterprise data ecosystem;

Building the “Data Kingdom” (Federated Model)

  • Design and operationalize a federated data model that connects distributed teams while standardizing core practices;

  • Enable domain ownership of data while ensuring enterprise alignment on definitions, standards, and quality;

  • Identify and connect IJM’s “data brainpower” across regions to accelerate capability growth;

Enterprise Data Governance & Stewardship

  • Work with the VP, AI and Data Governance to establish and scale data governance, stewardship, and lifecycle management across the organization;

  • Define consistent data definitions, quality standards, and ownership models;

  • Partner closely with Legal, Risk, and Technology leaders to ensure responsible and compliant data use;

Analytics & Insight Enablement (Beyond Reporting)

  • Move IJM from reporting to insight-driven decision-making;

  • Build a modern analytics capability that includes self-service BI, advanced analytics/data science, and strategic advisory to leadership;

  • Ensure analytics capability serves programs, fundraising, and enterprise decision-making—not just one domain;

Platform & Capability Development

  • Partner with Data & Technology teams to build scalable data platforms, integration layers, and analytics environments;

  • Rationalize tools and reduce duplication across teams;

  • Lay the foundation for AI-enabled workflows and agentic capabilities;

Change Leadership & Adoption

  • Drive adoption of enterprise data practices across leadership and frontline teams;

  • Build a data-first culture where data is trusted, insights inform decisions, and teams are empowered by tools;

  • Lead change management, communication, and training initiatives;

Organizational Design & Talent Strategy

  • Assess current data talent across IJM and define a future-state capability model;

  • Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional data organization;

  • Identify gaps and hire strategically to elevate enterprise capability; and

  • Participation in IJM’s community of spiritual formation.

Critical Qualities:
  • Eager commitment to IJM's Core Values: Christian, Professional and Bridge-Building;

  • Self-starter with strong initiative;

  • Disciplined with priorities;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness;

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication;

  • Flexible, collaborative and eager to support others;
