Position Summary:

The Value Added Assembly (VAA) business leader is responsible for the P&L for the VAA business within the Integrated Electronics division of TTM Technologies with primary focus on Radar and RF Technology.  This position is responsible for the execution of contract requirements and performance for the Value Added Assembly businesses. Direct reports include a team of program management professionals.  The role has matrixed support from manufacturing operations, engineering, business development, human resources, finance, and IT. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the matrixed support organizations as it relates to program performance and execution, business development and proposal strategy.  

Performs a variety of tasks, leads and directs the work of others. This position is outward facing to TTM customers and internal to TTM leadership.  

The position is a remote based position with travel up to 50%  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide the overall vision, strategy, and leadership for the business group and effectively communicates to the organization, as appropriate.
  • Sets the goals and objectives for the group, including orders, sales, growth, operating performance, budget, and others in support of the strategy.
  • Lead the development of market, product, and technology strategy which are consistent with the corporate strategic plan.  Work closely with the customer base, business development, sales, marketing, and internal engineering resources, as appropriate, to ensure this strategy is in alignment with the IRAD, Technology Roadmap, and orders plan. Development of plans to implement strategy. Maintain a good understanding of the customers’ new products and program development needs and ensure clear dissemination of that information to appropriate personnel.
  • Financial acumen as applicable to both business growth and execution; ability to recognize trends and financial health indicators of existing business, integration of company objectives, industry direction, & business area strategic plans.
  • Lead a team of program managers to develop and implement business plans, schedules, and budgets to meet the program goals and objectives.  Monitor and provide direction and leadership for assigned staff, to ensure the progress of such plans, recommend and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Plan and allocate human and equipment resources to complete assigned objectives within schedule and budget commitments.  Be responsive to customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction and product quality.
  • Ensure all direct reports and functions managed actively support quality and customer satisfaction.  Institute an atmosphere of continuous product improvement for all company personnel.
  • Maintain the necessary communications and cooperation with other company functions and business groups to support overall company goals and objectives.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong leadership characteristics, and demonstrated talent development skills
  • Strong business acumen and comfort in enabling, participating in, and influencing business decisions
  • Program execution experience, preferable in the defense sector, focused on program execution, Cost & Schedule management (EVMS), and the ability to create a team focused on achieving goals
  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • Problem solving where development of new solutions, methods, and/or systems will result in a major impact on the company’s success.
  • Make recommendations and implement improvements to processes, increasing efficiency
  • Ability to implement recommendations and see projects through to completion
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the manufacturing processes & systems in order to communicate effectively with external and internal customers
  • Strong working knowledge of industry standards, certifications, and requirements

Required Education and Experience:
Education:  Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.  

Experience: 10+ years of leadership experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry with focus on Radar and RF Technology; Experience with successful implementation of organizational change.  Experience within the A&D electronics industry and manufacturing experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefit options include medical, dental, vision, 401k, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accident benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, paid vacation & holidays. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$146,399 - $271,883

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Export Statement:
Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of  Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
