About the role

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer with digital agency experience leading website projects from research and discovery through to design hand-off. 
This role turns business, audience, and performance requirements into clear experience strategies, practical design direction, and high-quality digital outcomes. It serves as a trusted partner to clients and internal teams, helping create digital experiences that balance user needs, client goals, brand, accessibility, technology, and measurable performance. 
Please note we are not looking for a visual designer, this role will not include any visual design. 

Key Responsibilities

UX Strategy and Discovery 
  • Lead client-facing discovery and UX strategy engagements, including stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering, audience and journey analysis, heuristic reviews, competitive analysis, and experience audits. 
  • Translate business goals, user needs, content requirements, analytics, SEO considerations, and technical constraints into clear UX recommendations. 
  • Define information architecture, user journeys, functional requirements, sitemap structures, wireframes, prototypes, and experience principles that guide delivery. 
  • Present strategic recommendations with clarity, explaining the rationale behind decisions and building alignment among client and internal stakeholders. 
  • Ensure UX recommendations support conversion, accessibility, usability, content findability, and the broader digital experience strategy. 
  • Provide conversion rate optimization recommendations, outlining variant hypotheses, run A/B tests, and report on the results. 

Client-Facing Delivery  
  • Own UX workstreams from discovery through design handoff, ensuring deliverables are well structured, well communicated, and aligned to agreed scope and objectives. 
  • Act as the UX point of contact for assigned clients, managing expectations, facilitating working sessions, and handling feedback constructively. 
  • Partner with project management, strategy, content, SEO, visual design, development, analytics, and account leadership to keep experience decisions connected across the engagement. 
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and open decisions early, and provide practical recommendations that keep projects moving. 
  • Review work at key stages to ensure quality, consistency, accessibility, usability, and alignment with the approved strategy. 
  • Support successful handoff to visual design, development, QA, and launch by documenting requirements, decisions, flows, and interaction details clearly. 

Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration 
  • Work as an active member of Gravity’s global Digital Experience team, sharing knowledge and strengthening collaboration across the US, UK, and Vietnam. 
  • Contribute to reusable frameworks, templates, playbooks, and documentation that improve consistency and efficiency across engagements. 
  • Represent the UX/UI perspective in integrated planning, scope development, estimation, new business, and client growth conversations. 

Innovation and Continuous Improvement 
  • Stay current with evolving UX practices, accessibility standards, AI-enabled experiences, search behavior, personalization, analytics, and digital platform capabilities. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve Gravity’s UX methods, tools, deliverables, and client offerings. 
  • Use AI and automation thoughtfully to increase the team’s capacity for research, synthesis, iteration, documentation, and quality review while maintaining human judgment and governance. 
  • Help clients understand how digital experiences can adapt continuously as customer behavior, technology, and business priorities change. 

Other Duties 
  • Follow Gravity’s policies, processes, quality standards, and governance requirements. 
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, timekeeping, status updates, and other required administrative records. 
  • Participate in internal meetings, training, knowledge-sharing, recruitment, and agency-wide initiatives as required. 
  • Support other Digital Experience and UX/UI priorities that align with the needs of the business and the direction of the Global Head of UX/UI. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Typically, 5+ years of professional experience in UX, particularly for websites in complex B2B spaces. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading client-facing UX strategy and delivery for websites, digital platforms, applications, or other complex digital experiences. 
  • Experience leading discovery, requirements definition, information architecture, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and design handoff. 
  • Experience working in an agency, consultancy, product organization, or other environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. 
  • Experience managing client relationships, facilitating workshops, presenting recommendations, and guiding decisions at senior levels. 
  • Experience collaborating with distributed, cross-functional, and international teams. 

Skills 
  • Strong command of UX strategy, user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and responsive digital experience principles. 
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization principles and ability to provide recommendations, variant recommendations and run A/B testing programs. 
  • Proficiency with Figma and related tools for wireframing, prototyping, documentation, and collaborative review. 
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business and user problems into structured recommendations, requirements, and deliverables. 
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, storytelling, writing, and stakeholder-management skills. 
  • Working knowledge of accessibility, usability testing, analytics-informed UX, SEO, content strategy, design systems, and web development considerations. 
  • Strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines. 
  • Ability to give and receive direct, constructive feedback while maintaining trust and momentum. 
  • Comfortable working within tight timelines and juggling multiple clients in different industries. 

 

Desirables 
  • Experience with B2B, enterprise, or complex multi-market digital experiences. 
  • Experience with usability testing, accessibility audits, CRO, personalization, or website analytics. 
  • Familiarity with Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, HubSpot, or other enterprise CMS platforms. 
  • Experience working with design systems, component libraries, modular content models, or composable architectures. 
  • Experience applying AI tools to research, synthesis, prototyping, content, or experience optimization. 
  • Relevant UX, accessibility, or research certification.
