The role involves conducting QA/UAT for a major website redesign, verifying HTML against approved assets, and collaborating with various departments on testing protocols and documentation.
The website is essential to our business operations. It serves as the initial point of contact for customers who are interested in learning more about our services or scheduling an estimate with their local franchised business. The leads generated from our .com result in the majority of our overall business revenue. Each franchised business has a dedicated webpage that is linked to the homepage.
We are looking for a talented UAT/QA partner to work in conjunction with various departments and stakeholders (Marketing, Design, IT, etc) for a major website redesign build along with planning and execution for the migration of the main site and ~400 franchise multisite sites, ensuring all pages, URLs, media, forms, and key SEO elements are preserved or properly redirected.
Functions and Responsabilities
- Based on assets approved for copy, design, and functionality you will need to successfully perform a QA/QC review of the HTML code build versus the supplied assets and any project specific functional documentation.
- Perform both automated and manual checks to verify page presence, content accuracy, link functionality, and structural consistency across all migrated and current sites.
- Identify and document missing pages, broken links, content mismatches, or deviations from the approved URL structure.
- Work closely with SEO specialists to validate meta data, canonical tags, alt attributes, and redirect mappings.
- You will need to be able to create singular entries into the software system with screenshots taken from the code build of the staging site to highlight any specific functional or design issues along with precise written feedback that describes the specific functional issue and code update that is needed.
- HTML code build updates as needed based on potential changes in business requirements.
- Collaborate with the development team to define and validate requirements for a custom QA tool that will scan and compare both environments, generating reports on matches and discrepancies.
Key Qualifications
- 7+ years with direct working experience in UAT/QA for responsive website development
- Bug/issues tracking software to not only create entries but also assign them to team members as required
- Experience working with WordPress, or other popular Website CMS platforms
- Experience with industry-standard QA strategies and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent) to improve efficiency and reliability in automated testing is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Bug/issues tracking software to not only create entries but also assign them to team members (if applicable).
- Browserstack.com experience or experience with a .com based official device and browser QA testing software such as testlio.com.
- Ability to follow provided development guidelines regarding official devices/browser requirements for UAT/QA Testing
- Project management software (i.e., JIRA, Trello, Smartsheet.com).
- Experience working with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong time-management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an agile project environment.
