  • Collaborate with our Tax Team to ensure all tax projects meet firm standards and production schedules.
  • Handle international tax forms including Form 2555, Form 1116, and Form 8833.
  • Assist with complex reporting requirements such as Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 3520, and 8621.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide status updates.

  • Follow established production calendars to ensure timely filing and client satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: A BA in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience specifically in expat tax preparation.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interaction.
  • Mindset: A proactive, self-motivated approach with a willingness to work as part of a collaborative, remote team.
  • Technical Skill: Proficiency with international tax forms and a high degree of attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Actively pursuing or currently holding a US CPA license or IRS Enrolled Agent status.
  • Advanced experience with high-level international forms (e.g., Form 5471 or Form 8621).
  • Experience working in a 100% remote, distributed team environment.
  • A passion for staying ahead of the curve regarding IRS updates and international tax treaties.

What We Offer

  • The Freedom to Move: Fully remote, globally distributed team with the freedom to live and work anywhere.
  • Authentic Culture: A positive, enriching work environment with firm-sponsored annual events and team meet-ups.
  • Growth & Mentorship: Opportunities for professional development in a supportive, high-growth firm.
  • The Brightpath Compensation Model: We believe in radical transparency. Unlike traditional firms, we openly share how pricing and workload intersect to inform pay.
    • Transparent Comp: We show you exactly how your individual compensation is calculated using a formula that accounts for your tenure, credentials (CPA/EA), and seniority level.
    • Performance Incentives: Additional incentive bonuses issued June 15th and October 15th for exceeding baseline KPIs.
    • Value-Linked Growth: Your earning potential grows through your own efficiency and our annual pricing reviews, ensuring that as the firm’s value increases, your compensation does too.
  • AI-Enabled Future: We use technology to automate manual tasks, empowering you to focus on high-value, complex work that maximizes your expertise and earning potential.

If you’re a tax professional who values integrity, kindness, and a zest for experiencing the world—and you're ready to help us redefine expat tax services—we’d love to hear from you.
