The Opportunity
The Underwriting & Rating Rule Analyst supports the development, maintenance, and execution of underwriting guidelines and rating rule strategies for personal lines insurance products, with a strong emphasis on personal auto.
This role is responsible for supporting operational excellence in underwriting and pricing standards, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and evolving risk appetite. It will require collaboration with cross-functional teams including product management, actuarial, regulatory, engineering, and data science to support the delivery of compliant, competitive, and data-informed insurance products across multiple markets.

Salary Range: $62,720 - $78,400 (Bonus and LTI Eligible)
How You Will Make an Impact
Execute updates to underwriting eligibility guidelines and rating rules, aligning with strategic objectives and regulatory timelines.
Manage and prioritize a backlog of work requests; define actionable goals and deliverables.
Facilitate sessions with business and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify process optimization opportunities.
Maintain accurate version control and documentation of underwriting and pricing rules using established procedures.
Research market trends, competitor filings, and legislative changes to inform and adjust underwriting and rating rule practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure risk selection and pricing strategies are effectively implemented in each market.
What You Will Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3+ years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in product management, underwriting, analytics or a related role within personal lines insurance.
Ability to oversee, prioritize, and breakdown work into achievable milestones for initiatives across one to multiple teams.
Relentless focus on business outcomes.
Capable of explaining complex ideas to different audiences and influencing stakeholders.
Strong stakeholder management and problem solving skills.
