Responsibilities

Peraton is recruiting a Senior Tricentis Tester to provide expertise to an enterprise test team implementing and expanding automated testing across both front-end and back-end applications.  This role will be a remote position.


What you'll do:

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously to develop test system modifications or new automated test solutions in preparation for implementation.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and solutions using Tricentis Tosca and AI-enabled testing capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve test design, automation, test maintenance, defect analysis, and overall testing efficiency.
  • Develop automated testing solutions that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, security, usability, and end-to-end business processes.
  • Lead automation, integration, and test efforts, ensuring defects are identified and mitigated.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts and scenarios using Tricentis and other appropriate automation tools.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and operations teams to develop automated test scenarios and integrate testing into delivery processes.
  • Support system, integration, independent verification & validation, and user acceptance testing.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, customer meetings, and other team meetings.
  • Evaluate and recommend automation solutions, testing tools, and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled testing capabilities.
  • Work with developers to resolve software problems and provide analysis to enhance applications, testability, and architecture.
  • Provide analysis and direction regarding CI/CD improvements and automated testing best practices.
  • Monitor defect resolution efforts and maintain and enhance the test automation suite on a release basis.
  • Manage test artifacts and supporting tools, including source code repositories, JIRA, and Confluence.
Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Requires 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with PhD.
  • Clearance:  active Secret clearance.
  • 3+ years of familiarity with Agile methodologies and Kanban Framework.
  • Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca and/or other Tricentis testing solutions.
  • Experience applying AI or AI-enabled capabilities to software testing, test automation, or quality engineering.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
  • 3+ years of experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Acceptance Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Experience developing repeatable test procedures, executing tests, recording results, and working with developers to identify and resolve issues.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development.
  • Experience with build and source control tools.
  • Experience with scripting in one or more languages, such as Python or UNIX-based scripting.
  • Experience with SCM solutions such as GitLab and Artifactory.
  • Familiarity with enterprise testing technologies such as Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Gherkin, LoadRunner, GitLab, Artifactory, JFrog, AWS, HTML, XML, and ServiceNow.
  • Experience leveraging Tricentis AI capabilities to improve test automation, test creation, maintenance, or analysis.

Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
