Training Specialist Intern - Summer 2025

The Role:
Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a/an Training Specialist Intern to join our team for the Summer 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration.
In this role, you will assist with conducting training for all areas of the facility and building on existing training materials. You will be responsible for preparing training materials, setting up classrooms, and coordinating what's needed to assure training goes smoothly. The intern will work with existing team to promote department goals.
What You’ll Do:
• Updates training materials
• Create job aids, assists with training guides, and other material needed.
• Coordinates training events
• Assist with facilitation of new hire orientation and other face to face trainings throughout the facility.
• Participates in training projects and meetings
• Develops job aids and works on training guides to equip on the floor trainers.
What We Seek:
• Currently studying Education, Instructional Design, Communication, English, or Journalism
• 6 months-1 year of training experience

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
• 1 year or more experience in designing curriculum
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Classroom and virtual training experience
• Experience writing course objectives
• Experience with adult learning theories and principles

Eligibility:

• Must be a currently enrolled student
• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May or June through mid-August or September
• Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in an internship program

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
• Desired degrees in Instructional Design, Teaching, Education, Journalism, English
• Desired year of graduation: Current- May 2026

Compensation:

$20-30 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
