The Need  

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Training & Development Intern to join the 2025 Fall Internship class.  

 

The Training & Development Intern will support various initiatives executed by the Global Talent Pipeline & Development team, who oversee and manage leadership development content and activities globally, collaborate with learning leaders across regions to bridge gaps.  

 

The Training & Development Intern will partner with the Training & Development Sr. Lead and key stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy holistic learning solutions and improve talent and development processes globally. Tasks may include:   

  • Updating internal websites and processes; 

  • Utilize IJM’s LMS and learning design tools to assist in creating e-learnings; 

  • Creating and improving PowerPoint decks for training delivery; 

  • Assisting in training deployment; 

  • Assisting with course design, develop, and deployment; and 

  • General administrative tasks and responsibilities.  

 

This position is remote. It reports to the Sr. Lead, Training & Development. The position requires 30-40 hours per week. 

 

Fall internship program dates are Sept. 8Dec. 11, 2025.     

 

General Qualifications and Required Skills 

  • Bachelor's degree must be in progress for DC/Remote Internships and applicants need to have completed at least two years of undergraduate study. 

  • Passion for learning and research. 

  • PowerPoint advanced proficiency. 

  • Cross-cultural experience 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Administrative experience and attention to detail

*What is a statement of faith? 
A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
