Responsibilities

About the role:

This role supports the development and delivery of impactful onboarding and training programs that help employees build skills, stay compliant, and perform at their best. The position partners with leaders and stakeholders to identify training needs, facilitate learning initiatives, track program effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

In this role you will:

  • Support development of and maintain onboarding and training programs for GMIC
  • Gathers customer feedback and program evaluations to make recommendations for improvements where needed
  • Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders to ensure objectives, timelines and goals are being met
  • Create and manage training schedules, ensuring all required employees attend mandatory training sessions
  • Maintain accurate training records, track progress, and store accurately for compliance and audit
  • Assist facilitation by moderating training sessions
  • Validate training solutions to ensure content is current, relevant and meets the needs of the learners and the department
  • Conduct training sessions, including lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, and hands-on activities
  • Ensure all training approaches engage participants, enhance the professional development of employees and ultimately result in increased employee performance
  • Participate in project meetings as needed for initiatives that will involve the development and facilitation of training
  • Identify and determine training requirements by working closely with leadership and conducting needs assessments
  • Support change initiatives with timely and thorough training programs
  • Effectively communicate changes in company policies and procedures

Qualifications

What makes you an ideal candidate?

  • Auto liability and bodily injury claims handling preferred
  • Demonstrates knowledge of process and procedures in Insurance
  • Knowledge of Guidewire Policy Management Software
  • Knowledge of training facilitation, adult learning theory, and instructional design principles
  • PC knowledge and the ability to use appropriate software tools
  • Understanding of effective communication and motivational skill
  • Detail oriented and organizational and time management skills
  • Strong collaborator across multiple business units
  • Ability to multi-task: juggle and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to communicate concepts and processes in an easy to understand manner to a diverse audience
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Ability to positively mentor, coach and develop others
  • Review and conduct evaluations with team members to provide performance feedback
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
     

Work Experience & Education

  • 2+ years of professional experience in the insurance industry preferred
  • 1+ years of professional experience in corporate training and performance management preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
     

Licensing

  • Must hold current Property & Casualty License/Insurance Producer License in at least (1) U.S. State or be able to obtain within 30 days of start date

 

Additional Knowledge and Skills

Working effectively within an AI enabled environment:  

  • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work
  • Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
  • Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
  • Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection

The base range for this role is: $61,000 - $116,000

At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education

This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment
