Title: Test Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt
Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)
Location: Louisville, CO (Onsite)
Position Purpose: As a Test Engineer you will contribute to the Test process for spacecraft assemblies at the subsystem and system levels. Test types include thermal, TVAC, Vibration, and general pre/post environmental test processes. The Test Engineer will have hands-on experience with PCBA testing, ground support equipment (GSE) selection and design, systems level scripting and testing to support test operations on the production floor. The Test Engineer will write, write jointly, and review test plans and procedures for Tendeg antennas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, review, and implement test procedures and standard operating procedures
- Participate in non-conformance investigations
- Perform troubleshooting to determine failure and resolutions on non-conforming hardware
- Work with Systems Engineering to develop test requirements and documentation of flight hardware tests for implementation on the production floor
- Support engineering in the handling and operation of flight hardware under test
- Assist with GSE selection and development
- Identify and complete tasks with evolving requirements and minimal direction.
- Assist with the development, design, and implementation of hardware and software tools for the production line environment
- Ensure test procedures capture all required data for each phase of the test campaign and review the results prior to the next test in the sequence
- Write test procedures used in environmental testing
- Red line Tendeg procedures as required
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- May be required to travel to assist with launch programs
- A desire to build and design environmental tests from scratch is a plus
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications/Education:
- 0-2 years of experience needed in mechanical assembly
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or other related STEM field.
- Demonstrated strong problem solving and communication abilities
- Ability to read and work to engineering documentation
- Ability to independently operate thermal and TVAC chambers, power supplies, and data acquisition monitoring devices
- Technical writing skills preferred
