Temporary Quality Program Specialist (Temporary 6 month assignment)

This is a temporary 6-month assignment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our efficient, committed Supply Chain team builds partnerships to get the right product to the right place at the right time. Logistics? Ready to pivot.
You’ll support partnerships across our business, maintaining our food safety and quality programs. You’ll be joining a best-in-class team, helping to ensure our bar stays high.

Location: Remote work from home #LI-Remote
Hourly Rate: $27.50 - $34.50 (depending on experience)
Note: This range is a national average, but compensation will be reviewed based on geographical location depending on where the applicant will be working. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market
Maintain internal and external quality documentation to ensure regulatory and 3rd party compliance (e.g., SQF, GFSI, FSMA, HACCP, GMPs, Kosher, allergens, product specifications, food fraud, food safety, and new label claims).
Partner with Sourcing, Regulatory, and Product Development to on-board new vendors and ensure quality and food safety expectations.
Complete customer requests by working cross-departmentally to gather needed information in an efficient manner.
Support the Recall Management Plan, acting as a Back-up Recall Coordinator, by assisting with mock recalls and traceability exercises for corporate and all co-pack locations.
Support resolution of complaints, providing alerts and guidance to our leadership regarding food safety issues.
Maintain finished product and internal ingredient specifications, by working with Regulatory, Product Development, Packaging Engineers, and Brand teams to preserve the process and develop accurate requirements.
Research industry best practices and implement procedures to communicate important changes, improve the quality of our product, and effectiveness of our programs
Provide internal trainings related to food safety, communicating processes, updates, and best practices.
Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are followed at all times, advising your immediate manager of any food safety and/or quality issues.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
2+ years of Food Safety and Quality experience, ideally in beverage and supplier quality.
Bachelor’s degree in physical science-related field or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), preferred
Proficiency working with eQMS (electronic Quality management systems), preferred
Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends for special assignments.

FMLA qualifying Rain Makers receive six weeks of paid parental leave. Parents get to spend time at home bonding with their new addition (whether it arrives by birth, fostering, or adoption). For birth mothers, additional time is provided for medical leave. Depending on the state in which you reside, additional time may also be available for parents who do not require medical leave.
Flexibility Stipend. For eligible Rain Makers, spend this extra monthly stipend as you wish, but know it’s intended to contribute to things like your phone, internet or other business uses while working remotely or needs outside of normal working hours.
Relocation: Relocation Available (when available)
Onsite and Hybrid Employees: Get paid to carpool! Drive to work with another Rain Maker every week at least 2X a week and receive $0.25 per mile.

Please note, eligibility for our full benefits package is based on an average of 30+ hours per week in regular (not temporary) positions.
